The latest version, released in 2007, continues along these lines, offering Stow 'n Go seats that fold flat in the floor, Swivel 'n Go seats and a MyGIG multimedia infotainment system.

Swivel 'n Go seats allow the second-row seats to swivel 180 degrees to face the third row, complete with a removable table in between for fun and games. With Swivel 'n Go, the second-row seats lose their Stow 'n Go function.

The Town & Country is available only in long-wheelbase form, not in short-wheelbase. Dual power sliding doors are standard, complete with power windows.

Three V6 engines are offered. The base motor is a 3.3-liter V6 with 175 horsepower and 205 pound-feet of torque. It is of the flex-fuel variety, so can run on regular unleaded gas or ethanol, and comes mated to a four-speed automatic.

The next available V6 is a 3.8-liter with 197 horsepower and 230 pound-feet of torque.

And the top-of-the-line engine is a 4.0-liter V6 with 251 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque. The two bigger V6s come standard with a six-speed automatic transmission.

Some of the high-end features available on the Town & Country include a nine-speaker Infinity audio system with subwoofer, leather first- and second-row seats, heated first- and second-row seats, eight-way power driver and front-passenger seats, three-zone automatic climate control, power sunroof, power liftgate with flood lamp, high-intensity gas-discharge headlamps and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system with two monitors.

While its siblings, the Dodge Caravan and Plymouth Voyager (the latter since discontinued), have been around since 1984, Chrysler didn't get its own up-level Town & Country version until 1990
