VERY nice design. I dig it! The C-pillar on the sedan looks a little strange, but not ugly. I LOVE the wagon. Yeah, start with Quebec and Canada to see how well French cars sell. I think that’s a good idea. If it does make it to the States, I just hope American can be open minded enough not to vandalize.

This car looks cool! However I don’t think the french should even remotely consider sending it to the States; it wouldn’t be appreciated. Apparently americans want outdated gas guzzlin pickup-trucks and they wouldn’t know where to put the gun rack in a Citroën?

And please stop pissing about the Iraqi war and french/american sentiments; it’s far too important to be dragged into a discussion about cars.

THIS CAR IS COOL AND PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST EUROPEAN SEDANS. HOWEVER THIS IDEA OF PEOPLE THINKING THAT MITSUBISHI SHUD SELL THIS CAR AS THE NEW GALANT IN THE USA IS SO STUPID. I SUPPOSE PEOPLE HAVE GOT THIS IDEA SINCE THE OUTLANDER HAS BEEN REBAGED AS CITROEN AND PEUGEOT VARIANTS SO THAT PSA CUD HAV A DECENT RELIABLE SUV, AS THE WOULD’NT HAV A HOPE IN HELL OF PRODUCING THERE OWN.I SEROUSLY DOUBT THAT MITSUBISHI WOULD STICK THERE BADGE ON SOME BADLY BUILT,UNRELIABLE FRENCHIE CRAP.A REBAGED C5 AS A MITSUBISHI WUD KILL MITSUBISHI STATESIDE AND IT’S RELIABILITY REPUTATION. By the time Citroen/Puegeot could make a decision to return to the states, set up a dealer network, and start selling cars over here, this car will be old news and outdated (at least to auto enthusiasts). That’s why I have been so adamant about this car replacing the Galant in the U.S. If the Galant name is so flawed that it would damage the success of this vehicle, then call it something else. The current Galant is such a nonentity in the U.S. auto market. This car would hopefully save Mitsubishi in the U.S. and give us a chance to experience this great looking automobile on our home turf. If the Concept ZT sedan is any indication of Mitsubishi’s design direction, I would rather have a rebadged C5.

There is one major flaw in the plan. With Citroen active in Europe, what would Mitsubishi do for a Galant replacement in Europe? I’m sure Citroen won’t like the idea of letting Mitsubishi sell a rebadged version over there to compete with the C5.

I don’t know about all the international politic ramblings or U.S./French relations; I do know that this car looks amazing and I would love to see it on the market in the U.S. I think that since Citroen gets to sell a rebadged version of the Mitsubishi Outlander as a Citroen, then Mitsubishi should get to sell a rebadged Citroen C5 as the next Galant. This car has great lines and a balanced look that appears sporty and elegant at the same time. I certainly cannot say the same thing about the current Accord/Camry segment leaders. This car could be a great dark horse competitor in the midsize sedan segment. I say slap a chrome triple diamond badge on the hood and a “Galant” moniker on the rear and send it over.

Nissan did not paired up with anyone: Renault bought 33 or 36% of Nissan and send Gnosn to save their dying ass. He did and become global CEO. Nissan had very little to do with it, they were on the verge of extinction.
BTW, Citroen is fully owned by Peugeot. In 1976 Michelin sold Citroen outright to Peugeot. Citroen was in financial troubles since 1936 and majority of shares were owned by Michelin for 40 years.

I love that chrome strip on the lower edge of the window and how it terminates BEFORE the rear glass. Beautiful. And the wheels on the sedan look incredible.

Jeesh, I want to import one of these. Stunning. Heck, it even beats the new 2009 Mazda6!

And we’re stuck with such options like the Aura. Sucks to be us.

And look how airy the salon of the car is! If it does not break (reference to older siblings) you can drive this car for 700-800 miles per day without getting tired! The cowl is low, the seating position is high, visibility is great all around (it’s all glass). It is brilliant compare to dark, coffin like interior of Chrysler 300.
****ing French bastards would sell it to any dictator and terrorist, but not to natios that saved them. I love them, especially their mommas.

Some strange proportions, especially from the side, but I really like it from the back angle, and in the darker gray it looks quite handsome. The wagon looks really sleek too. The interior looks really well made, with good fit and finish and typical quirky yet cool Citroen design tweaks. Love that you can get pretty much any car in Europe with a manual. Wish they would sell something this interesting on this side of the pond.
