This is not really Gm's faul tbut most likely the adhesive was bad or a lot of adhesive was bad. Being a mechanical engineer I run into things like this all the time. It could have been the adhesive, or the way it was applied. We have no idea. I have no problem buying a corvette (oh yeah I own one. Go to Europe, Were their highly revered cars here are taxis, police cars , garbage trucks and other cheap government cars over there. It is only assembled at the plant to the car by the union. Sounds like the source is having a quality problem. Perhaps not properly cleaning the surfaces before applying the adhesives.
