Subaru and Cosworth have revealed a special edition Impreza STI that is set to go on sale in June. The Cosworth Impreza STI CS400 will boast 395 horsepower and a 0-t0-62 sprint of just 3.7 seconds.

This newly announced collaboration between legendary Cosworth and Subaru has provided one of the fastest accelerating hatchbacks ever created.

Subaru and Cosworth have not yet fully revealed the details of the special edition STI CS400, but we do know that when compared to the standard Impreza WRX STI with 296 horsepower and a 0-to-62 time of 5.2 seconds, this Cosworth edition is markedly more impressive thanks to its additional 99 horsepower.

To keep the extra power in check, the CS400 comes with six-pot calipers and 355 mm discs up front – developed in collaboration with AP Racing. Coventry-based AP Racing typically supplies brakes and and clutches to Formula One Championship, the World Rally Championship and Bugatti.

The CS400 will also come with a modified exhaust and suspension – in addition to modifications to the vehicle’s exterior – and will only be available in an extremely limited run of 75 units. Subaru says it will release the full specifications as it nears the sale date in June.
