Cover blown: 2007 Mercedes C-Class revealed on Autobahn

03/15/2006, 10:40 AM

By admin

For the past several months, Mercedes has driven its next-generation C-Class around Europe, testing the car with moderate disguise hiding its design from the public eye. The official debut isn’t expected until next year, but the car received a surprise unveiling on the on the German Autobahn A1 when an amateur photographer captured the car with most of its frontal camouflage removed. It’s unclear if the camo was torn off by wind, or if the engineers had to remove it. Either way, we now know what the front end will look like. (See full image here).

seriously? that’s it? do these cars ever evolve into something better?

At least BMW’s Bangle (love ‘em or hate ‘em) brought BMW some dramatic styling.

Usually I feel the same way, but I think this one actually looks decent. I don’t know, maybe the camouflage is throwing me off.

#4, I think that’s the point. Marques with a brand image, such as Mercedes, typically have no problem selling vehicles. Notice how much it looks like a baby 2007 S-Class. That’s good, because the buyer can feel good about getting a car that looks and feels like a much more expensive one.
