Let’s see.. 6 will be made the first year.. as if to remind us how many wheels it has, as if we can’t count! 6 jet-setters will buy them just to have something no one else has. What a dumb idea this is. Rear wheel drive with 4 front wheels.. brilliant!! If it had front wheel drive you could put a plow on it at least! I can see an NBA player buying one, or the dumbest actors, but I’m hard-pressed to think of anyone else. I like cars and motorcycles, but it annoys me that the automotive press spends so much time reporting on goofy and/or ultra exotic vehicles like this rather than what we actually might drive. It’s like they rub this stuff in our faces as if to say “it’s a half million bucks and you can’t afford it, ha, ha!” I predict the production run will stop at 6. One of the dumbest automotive concepts I’ve ever seen.

Can it be that this company also makes rims and tires? Man…. That thing is the most confusing thing to look at… Just got in to work right now and I thought that my eyes where playing me a trick… I am impressed that it took them 34 years to make a car as ugly as this.
As for the point of having a lesser chance of deflating on the front tires – Man what a joke. Instead of the regular two tires You now have four tires that can deflate… This is just dumb!

So what happens when you go through tollways when cars are supposed to have just 2 axles? you have to pay for 3 axles now? First a “Smart” car that requires premium fuel to achieve a meager 36MPG, when a Toyota Corolla achieves 41 without looking like a total jackass environmentalist, and now this? what next? An automatic bicycle that’s not a motorcycle?

Assuming that its 4wheel drive (not awd) those extra two wheels up front should cure any understeer issues. But I wonder if they loose some off the line traction since there are now 6wheels to distribute the weight.

I remember a car back in the 70s that used this exact same concept. It was called the Panther 6. It had 6 wheels with the 4 front wheels used for turning. The wheels were smaller , but did allow for two more wheels with brakes. The car used a bored and stroked Cadillac V8 with about 450HP if I remember correctly. Only a few got made and I think they ended up going to some shiek somewhere.

It was FUGLY to but it made an impression on this 7 year old.
