^_^ i concur. i’ve always said MB was for wannabe’s who were too obsessed with names to care about real luxury and quality. daimler pretty much raped chrysler and left them to carry a bastard child known as depression , a child chrysler will carry for a long whiles because despite their efforts, they are a long way from being back on their feet at all. Chrysler was not struggling prior to “merger”. According to court papers it was suppose to be a merger, not a takeover. Kerkorian called it takeover, sued M-B and in US federal court M-B proved that it was “merger of equals”. This court action is proof today that Chrysler was basically raped and left with shiner on a side of the road. The “merger” goal was for Chrysler to provide small, inexpensive cars for combined company. We know how it went. BTW, during those years Chrysler quality was sometimes better the M-B. And M-B is suffering 45% decline, not because stellar sales either: their quality is not on par with their asking price. BMW and Audi are taking them to lunch. M-B biggest market US dental association, airheads and dancing gangsters.

I don’t agree. MB owned Chrysler, it was theirs to do with Chrysler what they wanted. Chrysler was struggling when it was taken over, it’s struggling now and it will be struggling in the future. The more things change….

After what they done to Chrysler (and American taxpayer by dipping into out research that was payed by taxpayers) Zetsche and company should be condemned and their products boycotted in this country. Probably will not happen, since status driven dentist and rap artist can’t live without that symbol: imagine Hilton or Spears without three pointed star. It’s like imagining them wearing undergarments: unthinkable.
