My Dentist has a 2006 SRT-6. They were made ONLY in Calander year 2005 (August thru December) but had 2006 titles. There were NO 2007 Crossfires and there will definately be a 2008 and it will be the last. New will be tire air presure monitor. I pray they keep the Clasic Yellow & the white/Charcoal interior. I will order. Being built on the Benz SLK 1st Gen is not a bad thing. Not like being built on a Chevy Citation or something. There definately was a 2006 Crossfire and a 2006 Crossfire SRT-6. In the local ads where I'm from, you can get brand new Crossfires for roughly $25,000. Cheap as hell considering what the MSRP is on them. I personally can't believe this thing still exists. The exterior looks okay design wise, but the interior is straight garbage, and it's based on an essentially decade old platform. Most importantly, it's not even that sporty to drive, and finding a manual version is like finding a needle in a haystack. Get rid of it. However, Chrysler did end up producing a 2006 Crossfire sales brochure in the middle of the 2006 model year, but has yet to mention a 2007 model in its literature or on its Web site. I don't understand why they are bothering to announce the 2008 model.. but since there is no replacement planned, they might as well keep selling what they have - the investment has more than paid for itself since the platform dates back to late 1996! Most complaints were addressed for the R171 SLK, which is still looking beautiful and going strong since the 2005 model year. I don't know how the Crossfire drives though.. Chryco is supposed to build a VW version of its new van, etc. I'm not surprised with this. It's a Mercedes at domestic prices. Even if it's last generation's version, it has to be a decent car. And I expect the Freightliner/Dodge Sprinter versions of the Merc cargo van will continue, as well.
