My Legacy GT gets 20/26 mpg with the 2.5L turbo. Sub 6 seconds 0-60 are attainable with a lot of slipping of the clutch in 1st, but boy does it move when you do a drag launch. I’m currently running aftermarket up pipe, down pipe and a stage 2 map, I should be around 300 hp at the flywheel, it’s a lot more fun to drive than stock levels.

Forget about those larger displacement V6′s, the turbo 4′s are much more tunable.

is this not clear enough?? even tho mazda is owned by ford, but as long as it’s not designed by fucking ford fucks, it’ll just automatically look good. how interesting it works that way.. oh wait, them ford fucks are just the same uneducated uaw fat fucks that wear white collars.. oh ya, i love it when i answer my own question. 2-3 years old body style is not old. The Mazda3 is going into its 5th year; the outgoing Mazda6 has gone 5-6 years; the Ford Focus . . . ok I won’t even comment on that. Bottom line is if the design is nice, it will last, and Mazda has the best designs right now, unlike Toyota and Honda that are frankly starting to look weird.

Also, the regular Mazda6 probably won’t get AWD, so that will be a selling point for the Speed6. Keep in mind that the Speed version is not just about the turbo-4, but it has improvement in steering, brakes, suspension just to name a few. Mazdaspeed6 won’t be the nest selling model, but since when do you see BMW selling more M3 than the regular 3-series? This car will do fine!

The last Mazdaspeed 6 was pretty sweet. I know a couple people that have them and love them. Similiar performance as the last one, 0-60 in 6 seconds?? I thought the last Mazdaspeed 6 was good for hitting 60 in like 5.7 seconds?

While that would be sweet bigp I higly doubt Ford’s ecoboost V6 with that much HP will make it into the new 6. I’d bet all my chips on it having the 2.5L Turbo 4. But with all the mods out for the last one, I’m sure with a ecu retune, and some bolt ons you will be able to get 300hp or more out of it.

Sure the last one was great but you couldn’t give them away over here. I’ll be surprised if it makes it this far. Problem is even if it does will anyone really care when that bodystyle is already 2-3 years into it’s production run?

High powered fours have shitty fuel economy. The last Mazdaspeed 6 was good for 17 city / 23 hwy.

it will have the ecoboost 3.5liter v6 with over 350 hps so just get ready , fun i was just tell a friend at school that if mazda were to drop thr 2.5 liter in the up coming mazda 2

Technologically it is a great auto. I wonder only if turbo 4 will be any more efficient then non turbo 6. After all you got to feed 280 ponies with gas no matter where they come from. Probably around city when turbo is not wildly spinning it will be more efficient. Will it come with manual like Mazda 3 or only auto like in the past V6?

looks sweet, but a turbo 4cyl seems like too small of an engine for a car this size despite its impressive power. A turbo V6 pumping atleast 350hp would make me want one, but I’m too attached to my modded WRX wagon to give it up.

I hope this car makes it to American shores. The last one was super fun to drive, and this one should be even better.
