Right what i want everyone to do is make a list EG :-
like – Everything
Dislike – nothing
list all the qualitys and not so qualitys so GM can see what the public think, the world needs this ride, i understand that not everyone will like it, some will hate it some will love every aspect, i myself love everything,
They say There is no such thing as perfection. It’s something every car maker aspires to but ultimately, can never reach. It’s the impossible ideal. the mustang is not perfection. Jessica Alba is not perfection. Even waking up on Friday morning to find you’ve been given the day off for some whimsical reason, seeing a £500 – $1000 cheque addressed to you in the post, that’s not perfection. Perfection does exist shes on this page, shes mean, shes a camaro,

ok people, this car is the most sexy thing on 4 wheels, flawless design, stunning looks. im so in love my fiancee is jelous. i even dream of seeing one, GM please, i beg of you build this masterpiece, sell it in the uk its 2008, now is the time to unleash the beast. if anyone of you dislike this maro, look again, now look at your calender, this is what cars should look like in O8. its sexy, its art, its a Camaro. honesty though, isnt she spectacular, and yes i know im obsessed.

The Camaro won 9/12 races on the Trans am speed track in 1967 and in 1968 the camaro won 10/12 races and in 1969 camaro won 8/12 races. I think i can see why F#$%ed On Race Day (Ford) and Don’t Over Drive Gutless Engine (Dodge) fans are so afrade of the new camaro. History is repeating its self.

I agree with the purists that the design should be more akin to the ‘69, but
I have to admit I love the car. My real passion though is for the concept Trans AM and make it look like 2nd generaton!!!!

I was going to buy a new corvette, but I think I will wait for this concept to get on the road, it looks great! I can’t wait for the SS model, what might be the differences on that model . . large spoiler, ram air hood, gound effects . . I cant wait!

Its about damn time.Im sick and tired of seeing these pony cars around.They never should of took the camaro away cause it looked better and performed better then the 2002 mustang and we have had to suffer with these pony cars for the last 4 years.

There are a lot of valid points to read here. I agree with much of what has been said here and I hope that someone at GM is reading them too. I do like Kris Horton’s concept designs and am quite disappointed with the current Camaro concept car. About all I see right is the size. I see way too many borrowed ideas in the composition of the car. Rear end looks like a vette, front end does not look like a Camaro – it looks like something out of the Cadillac/Brinks design studio and for heavens sake the doors and sides look exactly like a Mustang! How on earth could GM have missed this??? Ford is going to have a field day with this! The interior is garish and cheesy too! Please tone it down. Yes, I was around when the Camaro first came out in 1967 so I would be considered a purist, BUT I am interested in seeing the new Camaro with a slightly different look from original and again………..all you have to do is look at Kris Horton’s work to see exactly how to do it. Because when all is said and done, and everybody has had their say………remember this. The first generation Camaro is what caught the imagination of a generation when it first came out because of it’s design and that design is it’s roots. It should be obvious to anyone watching the resurgence of the muscle car designs (notably Mustang and Challenger) that the look is what initially attracts people to the car and that Ford and Dodge are paying close attention to the “root” design of the car. You stray away from that winning formula and you end up with a bland car, something that people do not look at twice. The Mustang looks terrific (and I have never been a Ford fan) and so does the Challenger. Shades of 1964 1/2 GM. When are you ever going to learn? (and to think that they had Mr Horton’s design to look at too). I’m really hoping that they nail it on the production version, but I have serious doubts about the design team and what they have put together so far.

your concept camaro looks like two different cars. The front looks like you wanted the 69 camaro and the rear looks like the corvette. You can not please everyone. When you try to please everyone, you don’t please anyone. If you are going to use the name camaro, then make it camaro all over and you please the people that remember camaro and have the money to buy that dream car that they couln’t afford to buy in 1969. The kids will love it as well i’m sure. Thank You.

I love Camaro’s. When i first got my license i had a 76 camaro and i loved it. Also loved the 69 camaro.
I currently have a 2001 and that is my baby. This car looks great!!!

I think the design is fantastic for re-invigorating the Chevy nameplate, and GM in general. The Solstice/Sky/Opel GT platform, the new G6 bodies, and this are proof the GM isn’t as dumb and docile and some would make them out to be.
This a great looking car, well-suited to its roots and a future. However…
what will make or break this car is without a doubt, its pricing.
If the base camaro starts at the smae price as the base Mustang, with a minimum 200 hp 6 cylinder, GM will make money. Looking to the past however, GM tries to justify pricing the camaro 3,000 to much, giving away a significant amt of market to Ford and others because they think that the better performance and package of the camaro should make it be worth more money. But how do you grab a youthful market, like my the college kids excited to get there first car? If a Mustang is 18 grand and a camaro is 21 grand, I’d buy the mustang. As much as I love Chevy and camaros, 3 grand is a huge difference to that price market.
