Holy crap! That just looks in-freaking-credible. I’d trade my Z in for something like that in a heartbeat. However…has anyone thought that this might not be a new g35, but a whole new model of a m45 coupe? I’ve seen where someone photo-chopped m45 lights onto a g35 and it looked very similar to this. Either way, my verdict stands at dead sexy.

Nicely done. The front looks menacing. Spoiler addition to the rear gives it more muscle. Manufacturers should offer this type of “polished bare metal-look paint” considering they’ve been showing it on concepts for years and it looks great.

If they can blend this sport and class into the bland 4-door G - they’ll have a true 3-series contender.

Infiniti’s entire line-up is far superior to it’s Japanese rival Lexus except for one small glitch - let’s see what they can do to the aged (…yet new) Q45.

I made a design for the GTR looking a lot like that especially the lights and I was going to send in the drawings in tell I finaly got confedent with Nissan not to jack things up with the GTR. That and i got lazy but they got the idea what i was thinking. GO Killers GO! Your on a roll!

I currently own a 2005 6MT Coupe. Even with a couple of modz it kindda grew a bit old. Though I love the car, I was waiting for Infiniti to unveil the new concept. Now that’s refinement.
I recently visited a Lexus dealer to check out the IS350. Beautiful and very luxurious! But an automatic four door sport sedan isn’t quite what I’m looking for.
IMO, with this concept, Infiniti will reach the last portion of their “triad” goal. Performance & Reliability, which they own already, will meet with Styling. Good job!!

Wow… this car is amazing!!! Getting into an accident in this car would be extremely costly. The body is almost one solid piece. I am guessing the production model will not be built like this. The rear bumper is intergrated with the complete frame of the car and the front bumper includes the fenders as well. The car is basically 6 pieces: (1) front bumper + fenders (2) hood (3) driver door (4) passenger door (5) rear bumper plus the rest of the frame of the car and (6) trunk lid. This would be a terrible design for a production model and for doing in types of mods to the body.

really nice car but the real question is this vehicle coming out in twin-turbo????? I mean dont get me wrong its nice but lets be real you got cars lighter and faster that are way cheaper, I myself working in a dealership have seen the g35c get beat by a STI. Please make this G with TT if not you lost alot of customers….

is a luxery car, yes performance is there but it’s
not really a race performace car like the evos or sti’s. those cars were designed to do one thing, and that is to go fast. I’m pretty sure even without TT, they’d sale just fine, i want one already just looking at these pics.

This 2007 concept stirred up a passion in me much like the one that convinced me to purchased my pearl white (fully loaded) 2003 model, which has simply been a pleasure to drive. Only my feelings for this concept model are much stronger. I predict Infiniti will most definitely build it. FACT: It was the g35 (their 1st coupe in twelve yrs & M/T’s C.O.T.Y. award) that catapulted the franchise to the forefront again in terms of performance/ingenuity/innovative styling/ & downright sexiness. I love my 03 wholeheartedly but gentleman… it’s days are numbered as I will be one of the 1st people to fill out a purchase order sheet as soon as they give the green light on this sexy machine. I also believe the powerplant they put inside will NOT disappoint. I’ve been watching Infiniti and I love the direction they’re going.

Went to the local dealership, and signed up on the waiting list. There was already 3 other people ahead of me. Guy at the dealer said it should be out late summer, and they were guessing it would run around $36k.

I love this car!! I think the back end needs to be redefined though. I couldn’t help but notice also that people are asking about a twin turbo version and a GTR version. Well incase anyone is interested, the G35 is the “Skyline” (www.nissan.co.jp/SKYLINE). And as all enthusiasts of the Skyline know, the GTR is inevitable. If you look at this new G35 at 3/4, the rear quarter panel has some GTR Proto Syling. I feel that this really ties the G35 (Skyline 350 GT in Japan) into the upcoming GTR, which is most likely going to have a twin turbo, unless nissan/infiniti decide to step away from the heritage of previous GTRs. Which brings me to my next response: why doesn’t the new G35 rear end have the dual circle lights of it’s Skyline predeccesors? Oh well.

This car is tight. I love my 04 G35 but I’ll sell that in a heartbeat to get this. from what I heard this will be very close to the production model. Also MARK you’re an idiot. The G35 is a Lux Sport car, Twin snails are not going to go well with the target consumer and the cost will be too much. And for the person that doubts that this is not the next G wake up, it is. Another rumor is that the coupe will come out in 07 but in 08. Don’t know how accurate that is though.

I guess I’m waiting for 07 to buy a new car then! If this thing is under 40K and comes with over 300 hp I’m there. It’s may not beat an STI or EVO but it’s got tons more style. It may not be an M3 but it’s not 50-60K either.

I own a G35 Sport Coupe 2004 and drive it like it should! She’s the Queen of the road come summer time but unfortunately, come winter, there’s too much power on the rear wheels, slip, slide, skid, etc….
I can’t wait to trade it in for a 2007! The look is more agressive, I hope the power will be too… ’round 310 or 320hp. All you gotta do is tweek this super engine to it’s full potencial, then put 19 inch 245’s in front and 265’s in back. This car is probably the most desired, admired and wished for model in years! That’s because it brings together universaly appreciated style, enoug luxury and above average performance, all that sold under the 50 000$ mark! That’s all I have to say.
PS: For those of you that need convincing, try racing one next time…. You’ll see…

Good Lawd………i’m really feeling the design of the new coupe inside and out. The headlights are a definate plus and while you made some noticable changes you didn’t take the “G” out of the the G35. I’m most impressed with the interior. The glow on the gages, the plush seates, are they heated and cooled? The consoles, pretty much the whole lay out is bangin. I own a 2003 g35 coupe, love it and I love what you’ve done with the 07 concept.

The new g35 is supposed to come with an option v8, the one in the qx and m, … you will be either given the option of the new v6(Manual Transmission 298 @ 6,400 RPM or Auto Transmission 280 @ 6,200 RPM)
of the v8(4.5-liter (4,494cc) 32-valve, rocking 335 hp)…….cant wait!!!!

In my opinion, this car could take over the lead of the BMW 3 Series with this new 07 model. Lets hope they keep the price range around the same for a 2006 (V6). BMW Series has better handling, but Infinity sure would have the looks.

I agree with SuRreal, but I don’t think the V6 version of the 2007 G35 Coupe is going to be 298 HP (which is the current HP)… I think it might go up to AT LEAST 300 HP (which is not a big of a difference lol 2 HP) but, IMO it might go even higher….

I WILL NOT feel like a sellout when i replace my 06′ with the 07′!!! i think it would be a much wasted re-design unless they pump the V6 up to about 320hp. Also 335hp for the V8 leaves only about 37hp margin between the V6 and V8. That doesn’t seem like a big enough gap. I’d want a “lil” more “bang” considering my losses in the fuel economy dept. I’m only 21 but im not that dumb. (V8 comment responding to #62)

Nissan/Infiniti have created this concept of a new G35, wouldn’t they make a new concept for a finely shaped 350z also? come on think of it, u know it will come true if they would just say so. I believe since this new g35 is being released in 2007, and new 350z will be released in 2008, i’ve been wanting a 350z for about half a year now and i will purchase one soon, BUT the new concept of the g35 has come out n it got me thinking, what if i DO get a 350z now? in less than 2 years later, a NEW 350z will appear and i made a big mistake about getting a 350z now. I believe Nissan/Infiniti started the g35 concept project for 07 first because they want to show the best last, infiniti with the g35, the new skyline will appear the next year along with Nissan’s newly shaped 350z (theory). What’s with all the young people wanting TTs? Make it NA and make it torquey as hell. Turbos typically reduce reliability and fuel economy. I think this car is fantastic and I hope they just rework the current NA 6 cyl they are using. It seems to hold it’s own quite well.

(responding to 72) BMW’s new 335ci is twin turbo and that’s coming from one of the most reliable brands in the market. I don’t think nissan/infinity necessarilly have to to TT but if they need to in order to stay ahead of the curve (performance wise) the way the 05′G35 was compared to the 05′330ci then I say go right ahead. I also think there’s a reason they’re not in any rush to release specs and I’m sure we’ll all be pleased. (praying!!!)

Hi i test drove the 2006 G35 coupe, i didnt like the accleration and steering. I also have the new bmw 330I and to me the bmw ones accleration is much better and so it the steering. I wanted to buy this one as well put the performence shifted me in another direction. I know thay number-wise the infiniti coupe is much better, but i test drove it and itzz have no accleration. I just want to know if any of you guyz konw when will the 2007 production will arrive and will they increase any rpm or hp? Thankz guyz.

This is very old news … word is the 2007 G35 coupe will be exactly be the same as the 2006 model with some cosmetic changes (to get rid of excess inventory). Things like standard — mud guards, intelligent key for automatics, etc.

The ‘concept’ that we see will be released as a 2008 model. People over at g35driver.com say it may arrive as early as May 2007 (6 months after the release of the sedan) or as late as August 2007. Only top brass at Infiniti corporate / Japan know exactly when.

I just hope the production model will be available for preview at the Detroit Autoshow. NOTE: there will be NO 2006 Tokyo Autoshow this year!!!

Infiniti has never really impressed me but this is an exception. I had a G20 back in the early 90s and it was awful. But it looks like the brand is getting back on its feet.

I drive an 03 G35 coupe 6mt. Can’t wait to replace with the proposed new. Dealership unable to provide time-line or strategy. Skip 07? Release as new 08? Would love to have more info and my name on a list.

Beautiful car. Love the front headlghts redesigned, i always thought the old bug eyes were getting old. I can’t find anything wrong with the back either. This is a car I’m definately going to get.

The styling is unprecedented among the layout and chassis. I don’t like that infiniti is toying with the idea that it can remove the 6 speed manual for paddle shifters. I wouldn’t buy it if I couldn’t get it in a manual.

I owned a 2005 G35. After seeing this G35/7, I’m back in the business for buying another one. I already started saving. This car is going to put every car on the road to shame. Just picture yourself in it…If this car had a bathroom, I’d live in it…haha But yeh, start saving now guys…who knows how much this is going to be…Hopefully, it stays around the current G35 price.
