A third engine in the 3.0-3.5 range with 225hp or so would be nice. It would still be boring but faster is always welcome.

I'm not sure a 1-hp advantage over the Ford/Mazda 4-cylinder deserves quite so much puffery. The pricing will be very interesting; the Sonata is already very aggressively priced with standard items that are optional on Optima, and Kia is sticking with a slightly uprated version of the old V6 and not offering the new, much more powerful engine used in the Hyundai (if the Optima weighs anything close to the Sonata, it seems like it's going to be quite a bit slower). That suggests what, $17-18K for the 4s and $19-20K for the V6s?
