Scion announced today that the first limited-production Scion for 2006, the xB Release Series 3.0, will go on sale in mid-February. All 2006 xB Release Series 3.0 vehicles will wear vivid Envy Green exterior paint and offer unique exterior and interior enhancements. Standard features include a solid, color-keyed Aero Speedgrille, seven-spoke wheel covers and a color-keyed rear spoiler. Only 2,200 units of the xB Release Series 3.0 will be sold, for a suggested retail price of $16,340.

Inside, passengers will appreciate the premium Alpine DVD audio/video receiver with an extended range six-speaker system and one-inch soft dome tweeters. The receiver offers Apple iPod connectivity as well a mini-jack for most portable music players, and its multi-source mechanism allows playback of various formats of CDs and DVDs. This xB is also satellite-radio ready and comes with a paid three-month subscription to XM Radio, wherever XM service is available. A full-function remote control is standard.

This xB also features a Vizualogic Dual Headrest Rear Seat Entertainment System with a seven-inch LCD monitor mounted on the back of each front seat headrest and two infrared wireless headphones.

A keyless Scion Security System with a radar intrusion sensor helps protect this highly-equipped xB. Individual numbered badging completes the uniqueness of this vehicle.
