The reason Buick is doing good in China is because it isn’t competing with itself. Here in the US GM keeps over lapping brands like crazy. Thier worst mistake recently is Saturn, not only will it drive stakes into Chevy and Pontiac, but it will drain money out of GM because importing those Opels from Europe isn’t cheap! I say KILL SATURN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

gm doesnt suck. their managment, products, and current financial situation suck. lets not get confused here. i mean, i’de drive a GM product if they werent tasteless, bland, and mostly, badly made. i would gladly turn in my Benz C32 for an Impala LS if they werent such crap (i hope by now you sense the sarcasm).

I don’t get it. The article contradicts itself. There’s nothing wrong with the ‘quality of U.S. management’ but in the same sentence, the blame goes to ‘century-old bureacracies of Detroit’. So what’s the freaking difference?

So if GM blames it on bureacracy and not on upper management, which is basically the same damn thing, what chance does GM have of improving itself? To be fair, I don’t think GM’s cars are so bad that it merits reputation it’s got.

Hey #3, GM is actually doing great business supplying the contractors and the Iraqi police – and as a bonus, they have a great repeat business, since so many of their Suburbans and LCVs are getting blown to bits…
