WOW!!!! The xB RS 6.0 gets its own hubcaps!!!??? Now I am sold . . .

Seriously, what demographic would get excited about that? Not good thinking on Scion’s part.
Or maybe I am shortsighted and Scion will turn a huge profit from risking the extra expenses associated with NEW HUBCAPS!

The only way to fix this one is with good redesign. Reverting back to the future would probably work, since there were no problems with Mk 1 and it was selling well and attracting new customers to the brand.

I came super close to buying a brand new Release 1.0 xB, the orange one, on eBay a few years ago when they were brand new, for $17,500. They didn’t have any in Minnesota at the time and none of the dealers had any. I thought it was so cool that you could actually buy an orange vehicle in the US, especially a “cool” one (I thought at the time) with a 5-speed, that got good mileage. But, after finally seeing one in person, it’s not really orange-orange, it’s more of a burnt-orange, like your grandma’s couch. No sale. If it was a lighter orange I would have gotten one and you guys would think that I’m a gay Scion owner (which, I’m neither of those)

They should have just brought over the JDM Bb currently being sold. I like how it looks a lot more, even though it still is underpowered.

That said, it’s probably best for Toyota/Scion’s image that they leave the badge off the grille. Good thinkin’ Toyota. Next time build a car that isn’t ugly, heavy, slow, dull to drive, and comparatively fuel inefficient, and maybe you’ll be able to hang a badge on it without embarrassing yourselves.

What the H does having a bunch of electronic hookups have to do with comparing it to a VW Westfalia? I got lost on that part. “The xB RS 6.0 features a standard Pioneer navigation system with Bluetooth, SD card, USB and iPod connectivity. It will also play DVDs and iPod videos when the xB is parked, making the Scion sort of a modern-day VW Bus with the Westfalia package – at least in our eyes.”

I don’t get it, this has NOTHING to do with a VW Westfalia.

Over in Japan, this vehicle actually has presence amidst the sea of automotive peculiarites there.
Here, however, it just looks like a joke. I can’t wait for these abortions to go to the crusher.

Still, I’m sure the 50-somethings who buy these to try to salvage their long-lost youth will appreciate what the vibrant color adds to their otherwise drab lives, plus Toyota engineers have designed an optional velcro seat insert to secure Depends pads in case of a, uhhhhh, little accident by the owner when they realize how retarded their car looks.
