Leftlane reported earlier today that Saab secured new funding and a new set of goals to go along with it, but now a new report sheds light on exactly how tight money is at the Swedish automaker.

When the Frankfurt Auto Show – one of the largest in the global circuit – kicks off in September, don’t expect to see Saab in attendance, as Autoblog.nl has revealed that the automaker has decided instead to save its precious funds for more prudent causes.

Given the fact that Saab did not have any new reveals planned, savings at least several hundred thousand dollars for what would have amounted to minimal press is likely a wise decision.

Will their lack of presence act as a catalyst for alarm, or will it go largely unnoticed and fail to scare potential buyers away? Only time will tell.
