“Pimp My Ride,” a popular car customization TV show from West Coast Customs, is set to move to another channel and introduce a new format. According to a published report, WCC will be developing a new show on the Discovery Channel and work with the producers of “American Chopper” and “American Hot Rod.” And instead of creating over-the-top designs from old or beat up cars, the new show will be based around the work they do on a daily basis and will include customization of private jets, helicopters, tour buses and high-end vehicles. The team was reportedly fed up with the subject matter of the MTV show, which often involved taking near-junk vehicles and dumping thousands of dollars into them. WCC will also be making another big move — this time to a new 21,000-square-foot facility in Corona. Earlier this week, we reported that an all-new “Top Gear” show would be coming to Discovery, with an American cast and test facility.
