Less than two weeks ago Leftlane brought you confirmation that DMC of Texas was working on bringing an all-electric version of the iconic DeLorean to the market in 2013, and now we have video proof of the car’s existence.

Although the video is limited to some fairly tame driving on the Houston Motorsports Park closed loop track, it does offer tangible evidence that a working, drivable DeLorean utilizing electric propulsion is already in existence – making a 2013 launch a potential reality.

(More after video)

Although DMC is being a bit mum on the technical details of the car, the video features Cameron Wynne of DMC as the driver, which suggests it is in fact authentic.

We will be sure to continue to follow the development of this very unique EV, as it more than likely will garner more than its fair share of attention if and when it finally comes to market if it can deliver a sporting experience.
