Offered in “Detonator Yellowâ€? with black accents, the 2007 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee is the first special edition of the “Charger on Steroids.â€? Powered by the Street and Racing Technology-engineered 6.1-liter HEMI producing 425 horsepower, the Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee features special logos on front and rear fenders, contrasting yellow stitching on the seats, steering wheel and shift knob. It will be available in dealerships this fall. More photos after the jump…

Harkening back to the original Dodge Super Bee models, the 2007 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee features black accent stripes with the classic Super Bee logo.

Before the re-introduction of the Super Bee designation on the 2007 Dodge Charger SRT8, the only previous Dodge Charger available as a Super Bee was a 1971 model.

i hope they do a better job on the Challenger than they did on the Charger. If they stay true to form and build it just like the concept they will surly have a winer. If they change it like they did from the charger concept to the charger production I will cancel the order i placed just for the challenger like i did with the charger. It will sell if they build it just like the concept just add a shaker option and they will fly out the showrooms.

It’s not bad considering it has four doors. It would be much more appealing if it came with two doors and three pedals…and do something about those Mitsubishi Galant -style tail lights

I am a big charger fan, and i feel that the new 4 door chargers, are an major insult. The dodge charger is and should all ways be 2 door, never 4 door. the charger is a muscle car not a family……

Since being announced, I have always felt they should have named it “Coronet.” Coronet would have still fit the bill. Coronet R/T and now Coronet Super Bee would have been perfect. Coronet 500 could have been a luxo model if they wanted to. The “Charger” namesake should have been saved for a much cooler car.

I’ve owned many Dodges, my first new car was a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T (383 magnum), traded it for a 70 426 Road Runner (wish I still had them), I’ve owned a 68 Charger R/T w/a 440 magnum, 68 Coronet and a 73 Charger S/E w/a 400 cu.in. All of these were muscle cars, all of these were 2 (TWO) doors, you cannot have a muscle car with 4 doors, not yesterday, today or tomorrow. The concept Dodge Challenger is awsome, and is something I would consider buying, and as shown has only two doors, if dodge stay’s with two doors they have a winner. Make any muscle car a four door and you have a dud. Look at the Mustang, Camero, Chevelle, Corvette, GTO – they have never been available in tow doors, do you see any of those concepts available in a two door – NO. I rest mu case!!!

I feel the Super Bee model will make this car take off in the sales department. It has a Daytona and RT model too. One day it will have a six-speed too. Besides..How many 4 doors do you you know that will kick you ass and laugh at you? My order is in…PINK SLIPS WELCOME !!!!

The 4-doors just make it more fun to whoop up on people, esp people who think their great coupes are true muscle. I think you guys are getting your panties in a knot over the rear doors. This is the new age of muscle, and the Charger is here to stay!

Im sorry but I need to get some constructive criticism off my chest. dont get me wrong the equipment in the new super bee charger series is great, but my thoughts still linger with the total body design of the entire charger series. After seeing the dodge challenger concept car my first thoughts were that the challenger looked more like the old chargers than the new dodge chargers do. when I look at the body styling of the new chargers the side profile view of the car is too chunky compaired to the old 70s chargers. the front end dosent seem to sweep out far enough and has a side profile that is way too bulky horizontally.I do agree with others that the front end grill looks nothing like the old chargers due to the dodge theme symbolic grills. I would however like to see at least round headlights. next the rear end seems to be a tad bit to high and again dosent sweep out enough. the contour lines rear passenger windows and top seem to rise to dramatically loosing the swept back look of the 70s chargers. so altho this comment may never be read by the right people im still going to put my two cents in on what dodge should do. they should eather redesign the charger to look more like the 70s charger or take the dodge challenger concept car make it bigger and slapp the charger name on it because it look like the charger any way.

To day I just viewed the new dodge charger concept for 07 and I have to say the body designers got it wrong again. the charger concept car looks more like dodge’s version of the corvette not a true charger. What the H E double hocky sticks is going. Thats all I have to ask for the charger body designers. Sorry guy but you need to go back to the drawing board and get the corvett off your minds and make the charger look like a true charger. again I sugest using the challenger and making it bigger to be a 4 door.

I am a dodge fan. I owned a Dodge Ram 1500 SRT 10. Believe me there is nothing quite like sitting on top of a 500hp powder keg like that. I was forced to downsize my horsepower and upgrade my leg room with a growing family. So I purchased a Dodge Charger R/T. Make no mistake gents I love this car. My problem is that if you`re going to slap SUPERBEE on the side of this Charger why not give it 500hp? Drop a viper engine in it and see what happens. Just putting SUPERBEE on the side of a SRT8 is sort of reinventing the wheel so to speak. Dodge already has the auto world talking. Keep us interested.

Now i grew up in the 60’s and 70’s when all these bad ass muscle cars were pounding the streets …Face it guys Ford hit a major grand slam with the retro mustang…understand why…..”IT LOOKS LIKE THE OLD MUSTANG” that is the whole point in “RETRO” !!!!! Now I have seen the new challenger…much better job there… but the new charger is just another car. It brings to mind the guys at school who could not afford a Malibu SS…so they took grandmaws old 4 door Malibu and painted stripes on it… isn’t that cool? Thats what i see in the new charger….. lol sorry try again PLEASE!

Charger vs. Challenger…..we all know that back in the day, the charger was a the better muscle car(looks and power). so why make the challenger the better muscle car of today…..are we trying to run 1/4 miles with 5 people in the car now days (extra 900lbs), hell no! so why does the charger have 4 damn doors. the designers of the charger should go work for honda along with the gto designers….. the ‘06 charger should not exsist looking like it does. but instead looking like the new challenger. great job on the challenger give that designer a better paycheck.
