When it unveiled the all-new Dodge Avenger at the Paris Motor Show last month, Chrysler referred to the car as a concept, rather than a production model. Of course, the automaker is widely expected to put the vehicle into production in the coming months as a 2007 or 2008 model.
Now, Dodge dealers have told the Detroit News the car will arrive in showrooms in February. Chrysler has yet to officially confirm the report, but we reckon the dealers are pretty well informed on the matter.

Why does Chrysler even bother with cars like this or the Jeep Compass. Who’s in charge of their design dept? Was the 300 a one hit wonder?

This thing is a far better looking alternative to the boring Camry and Accord than the Fusion or Mazda 6 or Sonata. I applaud it and look forward to seeing it, although in that range I would tend to opt for the new Altima.

Is it going to Avenge the previous POS model that used the same name?

This thing is sweet guys, can’t see how you could hate this. As Ricardo Head said, its great that Chrysler is differentiating their car through bold styling. This looks way better and will probably drive better than the Camry or Accord. This car will also have some premium features, so overall I’d say well done Dodge.

not a wonderous car when seen on it’s own, but when you see it next to it’s competitors, i’d buy it over a booooooooring camry or accord.

This thing is going to suck. It has very little in common with its Magnum/Charger/300C brothers. The last Avenger sucked because it had nothing going on in the engine, transmission or suspension dept. The V6 version wasn’t even available with a manual transmission! They’re reviving a failed model with the same formula.
