The Dodge Caliber is selling so well that Chrysler can’t keep up to demand, Automotive News reported today. “I really like having issues like this – having demand greater than supply,” CEO Tom LaSorda told the trade publication in an interview. One Dodge dealer in Massachusetts said its the hottest selling Dodge product they’ve had in ten years. He said there’s a 10-month wait to get more Calibers. Marketing firm AMCI says the Caliber has been advertised well, and is not confusing to consumers the same way that early crossovers like the Pacifica were. A month ago, Chrysler dealers were singing the same tune. On May 29th, the Caliber was called a “solid success,” with some speculating it could become as popular as the blockbuster 300C. Analysts still say it’s too soon for a final verdict on the Caliber, but things are looking good.
