According to a report by Speed TV, it would take DaimlerChrysler 18 to 24 months to bring the Dodge Challenger concept to market, if it receives approval for production. Meanwhile, rumors have suggested it could take GM as long as three years to bring the Camaro to market. Will these vehicles still have the same appeal in two or three years as they do today? Build the Challenger as soon as possible. Bury the Camaro, it was still-born. I never thought I’d feel that way, ’cause the ‘69 Camaro is one of my all-time favorite cars. But, Chevy missed big time. There is absolutely nothing I like about the new Camaro concept.

Chrysler/Dodge seems to be really on the ball when it comes to getting concepts to the market quickly – hopefully this will be another example of that happening!

You can tell by looking at the pictures of the Challenger that it is practically production ready. The Camaro has a long ways to go IMHO. I like them both and hope they both get built. I heard production for the Challenger could begin as soon as March 2007.

If the Challnger takes 1-2 years to come out, it’s gonna loose alot of it’s fame. By then another company like ford of Chevy will have come out with a New Classic reborn, like the 06 Stang!!!!! Build the Charger Faster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hell build them both, rubbish (about GM taking 3yrs or Camaro) they have plenty of rear drive platforms worldwide they could use. 20mths – strike while iron is hot or lose out like the originals did (compared to Mustang), yet another case of these two shutting the gate after the horse (or pony) has bolted.

Everyone is a buzz about the new Challenger. How about a convertible model? If were shooting for the stars, why not!
