Looked good at first glance when it came out.
Looking at it closely, it reminds me of the Mercury Capri.
Just super dated form language, esp the dated rear fender. Looks very
80s to me.
Not pretty

I think they should have gone with the Dodge Razor, as someone already mentioned they should have come out with it around the time of Sky/Solstice. With a few touch ups, the Dodge Razor would look much better. A cleaner design, much more unique but I think it looks nicer.

Car companies need volumes at least 100k to make a profit on a vehicle. Since this vehicle is a roadster and a two seater, it better have a powerful thrifty motor, or its doomed. Getting that volume in a crowded 2 seater market (low volume), is a hard business plan. It will make it if it has underpinnings of other 4 banger Chrysler models...currently yuk! Interesting top picture of the hood...looks like xxxx and balls...marketing to the females again!

Well, it's definitely NOT the same car as the '70s production vehicle that wore the same namesake (like this one: http://www.hubcapcafe.com/ocs/pages01/dodg7101.htm ), but I think it may be a step in the right direction, and I think it's time that Chrysler explores a new genre that they've not tapped into.

Maybe Cerebrus can turn Chrysler around and undo the damage Daimler-Benz did to the brand after the merger back in '99-'00

^^Nobody gives lightweight rwd cars a chance, I for one love them. And I think it would be awesome if they made it with 2.4 turbo, and good handling, it would dominate. I really hope they do build it, and a coupe version as well

I've driven a Solstice. It was quite fun, I can see now why people buy these kind of cars. Dodge needs to build this. Not sure of the concept's styling, but I'm excited as to what the production version comes to be.

Stuart- why? The Miata has lived out its greatness. It's still nice, but the Solstice, Sky, and now this are gonna be big competition. They are already, the Solstice outsold the MX-5

This just seems like it will be Dodge's version of the Crossfire. And also there is too much Audi styling in the back. Regardless, like the two guys above me pointed out, that kind of weight with that much power is a winning combo regardless of platforms or styling.

Cerebrus may not be so clueless after all.. if Daimler's big Achilles' heel with Chrysler was meeting the upcoming CAFE standards with the bulk of their lineup selling only with gas-hogging HEMI motors, it makes total sense to scrap the similarly motored Imperial and instead finding another way to sell the Caliber platform and more 4-cylinders with the Demon! With a little design consolidation and a folding top that actually fits the body, this could take lots of Solstice/Sky sales.

Build it, and learn from GM's mistakes. The Solstice is a good looking car but lacks the Miata's maneuverabilty and is cursed with an unlivable interior. If it comes to market Dodge should know it will be compared against the Miata and Solstice (and maybe the Mustang and Eclipse convertibles), so be prepared to take #1.

Looks like a hack job from the ghetto pimp-your-ride shops. A Solstice with a Dodge grill.

Its not original but it will sell since it looks like a rip off of the competitors.

Reminds me of the motion picture industry. When one company makes a film there are 3 knock offs with similar plots released within 6 months.

I like Cerberus, the Imperial was absolute GARBAGE and the Demon is something that needs to be rushed to the showroom, but finished properly.

Kay i might only be like 17 years old. But when somebody says Dodge Demon, in my mind pops up the original Dodge Demon with the 340 in it. WHOS FRICKEN IDEA WAS IT TO TAKE THAT NAME AND GIVE IT TO A ROADSTER. Cars like those are what i consider "Chick Cars". like COME ON, PICK A DIFFERENT NAME, DONT DISGRACE THE DODGE PAST.

(EDITED FOR LANGUAGE)

I like this car but I hate to say it, if Chrysler/Dodge wanted to get in the small convertible game they should have jumped in there with the Pronto Spyder or Copperhead. But I forgot that's when the folks at Plymouth were still around Sorry. Daimler-Benz just parted out who they didn't need anymore, Chrysler.

I love this car! The body has hints of every car i have ever wanted. If they keep the baseline price in the 15k ball park these things will be more popular than the Ford Mustang. Makes me wonder about the price tag on a SRT version. Those looks and 300hp turbo charged 4 cyclinder, whats not to love. Surely this car will make it in to production, and when they hit my local dealership I will be there!

LOL! Dodge had a perfect 2 seater ready to go at about the same time the Solstice was on the drawing board it was called the Razor. But they chose to throw that away and roll this piece of crap out! Few years ago when the Razor was on tour I asked a Dodge rep if the car was ever going into production. He said he didn't know but everyone loved the car. Hmmm so what happened?? Few things I don't like about this car... those stupid slanted headlight, the dull as dishwater interior and that god awful rear end.

For those who may not have known, The Dodge Copperhead was a Concept car by Dodge back int 1998 meant to be a "cheap" Viper. It had a 3.5L V6 RWD and was presented as a Roadster. It was also almost the same color as the Demon, but looked a bit like a baby Viper... or a Panoz Esperante. They should have built that one the more I think of it.

The Dodge Venom was a RWD concept going back to 1994. It had a V6 but also looked very producible, and given that the Viper had come out not long before, Many thought it would make it. Built with Pt Prowler drive components, even I thought it was a no-brainer. This car easily could and can be the basis for Dodge and Chrysler mid-sized cars.

Oh well... Maybe it isn't too late.

Is does look like it is using the MB SLK base (which would make sense cost wise and follow the platform sharing concept. Both the interior and the metal folding roof points to this. If this really is the case, then a V6 can be crammed in there easy since it is already in the SLK.
