Dodge has been perfecting the minivan for over 20 years, so the latest incarnation, launched in 2007, boasts numerous thoughtful touches throughout.

These latest innovations include Stow 'n Go seats that fold flat in the floor, Swivel 'n Go seats, back-seat satellite TV and a MyGIG multimedia infotainment system.
Swivel 'n Go seats allow the second-row seats to swivel 180 degrees to face the third row, complete with a removable table in between for fun and games. The table stores easily in the floor when not in use. Swivel 'n Go also allows for easier entry and exit into and out of the vehicle. With Swivel 'n Go, the second-row seats lose their Stow 'n Go function.
The Stow 'n Go third-row seats are available with a power function, to split 60/40 and fold flat into the floor at the touch of a button.
Stain-resistant fabric is also available for the seats, perfect for kids when they have little mishaps.
Other seating options include eight-way power seats for the driver and front passenger, power adjustable pedals for the driver, and heated seats for the driver and passengers in the front and second rows.
Three engines are available under the Grand Caravan's hood, all V6s.
The base engine is a 3.3 liter V6 with 175 horsepower and flex-fuel ethanol capability.
The mid-range engine is a 3.8-liter V6 with 197 horsepower.
And the top-of-the-line engine is a 4.0-liter V6 with 251 horsepower.
These engines are mated to either a four-speed or six-speed automatic transmission.
Also available for the Dodge Grand Caravan are a navigation system, rearview back-up camera, three-zone climate control, and nine-speaker 506-watt Infinity sound system with 7.1 digital surround sound.
The Grand Caravan has been criticized for its boxy design, but it seems to work well for what a minivan is supposed to do.
