Back in May of 2007, Roush Performance Products announced that it would be breaking off exclusive ties with Ford. Since then, the tuning company must have been hard at work. Yesterday spy photographers spotted a ROUSHcharged Chevrolet Silverado out testing and today two production Dodge Challengers were spotted in the Roush parking lot.
While neither Dodge nor Roush has announced a tuning package for the Challenger, it seems a little strange that two high-performance muscle cars would just be sitting in the Roush parking lot — just days before their official unveiling, no less — for no reason.
Still, nothing is official, be we suspect a ROUSHcharged Dodge Challenger could be in the cards. Dodge is already planning one high-performance Challenger variant in the form of the Super Stock dragster.
If nothing else, the latest photo at least gives us another glimpse at the production Challenger before its Chicago debut.

I was disappointed when I saw the official pictures of the orange srt-8 and the silver that came out the week prior. But HELLO mineral gray metallic aren’t you gorgeous.

I made a tongue-in-cheek remark yesterday in response to the Roush Silverado that there might also be a Roush Ram in the works. Just maybe that little arrow wasn’t too far from the mark after all.

I know this sounds silly, but I have to say it…What if they put a big wing on the back, give it stripes and beef it up with Roush equipment and call it a Road Runner…yeh….

To me the new Challenger, Camaro and Mustang are basically the same car. Which is cool to have options if you are looking for the retro look, big power, RWD straight line performance.
Just seems like this fad is already getting a little old and 2 of the retro cars aren’t even out yet. Oh well, they’ll be a hoot to drive.

Like I said in a previous post “It’s 69 all over again” . It was a great year for american muscle cars, and a great number in general.

What a bunch of down-in-the-mouth crybabies. For a car yet to be driven by any of you (though not likely to be anyhow)– have some reverence for design, engineering, and the possibility of performance. Cosmetic opinions aside, I’m fairly confident that any true car guy could have a fun time driving anything out of the Roush stable based on some mild performance enhancement alone.

LLN idiots. That building is Roush Industries NOT Roush Performance. Roush Industries is basically a body shop for OEM’s to tap into for engineering and design services. They’ve been involved as a job shop supplying “bodies” (people) to Chrysler for a while on projects like the Viper and others.

Yeah BAMF, that sorta had me confused as well. I live 15mins away from Roush Performance, and their whole plant off of Plymouth Rd. In Livonia. I thought this was off of I-96?

Those are the ones that they are using in the new Fast and Furious movie. Unfortunately, the next time you will be seeing them will be on the front of “Domestic Rice” Magazine.

That would be great. Having owned a Rousch Mustang, Id be interested in seeing what they can do with the Challenger. A supercharged version would be awesome!
