elitist piece of shit!
who cares?
To quote Booker T. Washington "There's just as much dignity in tilling a field as there is in writing a poem."

But you feel the need to use the word "janitor," as an insult.

Fluffer: they have, and you haven't.

You're as pathetic as your grammar and your accord.

I say again that i think not doing the Camcord comparison will cost GM some sales.

There are two Auras in the parking lot where I work. And a '60s Buick. And 3-, 5-, and 7-series. Jags. Only one FLH. Oh, that's right. We're people who know cars and know value.

More hot chicks in Aura's huh? Ive only seen about 10 Auras not including the one Ive rented. Today alone I saw 2 new Accords. Youve seen more hot chics when there are less Aura's on the road? I can tell by the bs you post that you are a woman hater. Thats your thing lol but you only see hot chicks nothing more
If badging a car made it great then GM would put a Honda Acura Lexus or Infiniti on their POS's and try and fool consumers. Consumers may be fooled until the test drive when the it and the GM POS breaks down on the side of the road
When GM cars prove they are reliable then I will give them credit
Why no side by side comparo btw the Malibu and Accord ????
Sit down

They are always deluding themsleves into thinking someone will love them for their minds.

R-head: Attractive women usually have more choices available to them than unattractive women. Therefore, an attractive woman is more likely to get a job in which she's not stowed away in a cubicle. Therefore, she has money for a more expensive car. Also, she's more likely to meet a man with taste, who'll (of course) steer her away from an accord.

RicardoHead: "Did I say I see more Auras than Accords? Or is 1115 just to stupid to read properly?"

the latter

CA36GTP: "Seriously, where are the GM bashers on this interior?"
They're GM-bashers, that's professional hypocrisy. It's what they do. They'd even swear that something else was superior, even if it was a rebadged GM car. Hell, you could dig up an '82 Citation, slap an "A" or “T” on the front, and just like magic, it's a great car. Just like all the equivocating in D.C. But at least the GOP has distanced itself from Craig, unlike some GM bashers who are allergic to giving credit where due.

I know this has all been hashed out already, but I agree this 4-door is the bastard love child of a 5-series and a L200. It looks awkward in person, especially the rear end. The 2-door looks decent, as it does not have the same treatment in back. Oh, and I'm obviosuly a bitch for Infiniti, but choosing an Accord coupe over a G35? Why would you choose a soft and slushy ride - sore buttocks?

When I first glanced at the photo on the main page I thought it was a Hyundai they were about to test drive. Horrible interior. Honda Accords used to be THE benchmark in interiors, and now this?

And someone needs to call Honda and tell them about the idiot on the assembly line that's installing the outer door handles upside-down!!!!

Honda and Toyota routinely get a pass on their use of hard plastics. Honda normally makes their hard plastics look and fit good, but the Camry's use and fit of hard interior plastics is absurd and hideous.

If GM uses a hard plastic screw cap on the underside of a dash the journalists go ape about their "not getting it right." It's ridiculous.

I see plenty of hard plastics on the dash and center console of this new Accord. Yet not one negative comment about it from the LLN editor? They critized the new Malibu interior for having some hard plastic (not much, and less than the Accord's), yet no mention of it on the Accord. Can you say BIASED?

I wouldn't be impressed based on these pictures, but I have ridden in the new Accord (with leather seats) and I must say that the interior is very nice. The materials definitaly don't look and feel cheap as they might appear in the article photos. If I was in the market for a 4 door sedan, the Accord would be at the top of the list.

Honestly Ray, I know style is subjective, but that dash design is not attractive or up to date. The big button-endowed droop in the middle is not quite passe, the colors and lack of contrast are dressing, the general appearance is like 2001 revisited - not in a retro way but more like they simply didn' bother to update it, and even the general layout and lines are sleepers. Awfully plasticky too - much like the new Camry - and not in a good way.

Plus that mass of buttons in the center may be nice if you are a button lover, but there are more elegant ways of presenting functionality - given that other cars have more elegant dashes.

No doubt you like it, and that is great. I have yet to see a new Accord Coupe on the road (the prior one was atrociously geriatric). The new sedan is so bland it disappears like a pebble of sand on the beach, but the Coupe at least looks better in pics, and I've read it drives pretty well.

Oh and 1115 - I most definitely have seen some hot chicks in Auras - much more so than in Accords - and as a proportion that is even a bigger strike on Accords because there are a lot more of them on the road than Auras. Not saying there's anything wrong with ugly people gravitating toward Hondas - I mean they are human beings too .... like Rosie O'Donnell and the Elephant Man.

No doubt you like it, and that is great. I have yet to see a new Accord Coupe on the road (the prior one was atrociously geriatric). The new sedan is so bland it disappears like a pebble of sand on the beach, but the Coupe at least looks better in pics, and I’ve read it drives pretty well.

Oh and 1115 – I most definitely have seen some hot chicks in Auras – much more so than in Accords – and as a proportion that is even a bigger strike on Accords because there are a lot more of them on the road than Auras. Not saying there’s anything wrong with ugly people gravitating toward Hondas – I mean they are human beings too …. like Rosie O’Donnell and the Elephant Man.

I'd reserve my judgment until I get a chance to test drive one. Though my taste has changed to smaller better vehicles, the 3.5 coupe version deserves at least a try.

The interior of the 2008 Accord was a strong selling point for me. I love it-very ergonomic, and beautiful-much better than the previous CTS and G35 (which are supposed to be more upmarket, anyway), current 300 C, even most Audi and Mercedes interiors.

'CTS', that link shows the lineage in design ... upper and lower crease in the side and the head and tail lights pulled into the sides. 'autonut', if you don't see it as many others do, you are a write-off. The Saturn looked like crap and this looks like crap. And as much as I dislike the 5 series, its lines are more harmonious, to use the description of another poster, than this disjointed mess.

'Ray Sinclair', as mentioned, you are not an enthusiast. Let me add, you must be old AND you are a pansie. Oh, and the front end of the Accord coupe is also a mess as it is here. So what, you're not the only one with bad taste.

As for the rest of you who commented on the wacky interior, I totally agree.

Like I stated earlier, reputation is the only good reason for seeing this mess on the road.

Yeah JJT, I can believe your wife is hot because you aren't 1115 and you don't drive an Honda.

Let's face it, people, I rarely see attractive women in an Accord. Attractive women take pride in themselves and what their in, which explains it all. I am actually serious here - it is rare that I see a hot chick in an Accord. Even ugly Camry's pull more attactive women than Accords.

HAFUP! Hondas Are For Ugly People.

LMAO. The Honda Accord barely has a place on a car thread, and certainly none on an enthusiast site.

Rosie is a fat easy obnoxious target, like 1115.
And for the record my girlfriend is far hotter than anything either of them will ever see.

Anyone who bashes GM interiors should be lit up all over this - one giant shining sea of gray plastic...

Other reviews have said it is the nice hard kind of plastic that GM bashers love to hate.

It looks ok, nothing more, nothing less. The exterior is somewhat of a mut, I can see both Saturn and BMW design language. The interior looks just ok as well, I find the interior to be somewhat jarring with that huge center display bin. It has what most people shopping for a family car want, but it no longer appears to be in a class of its own.

Swerve: I think people hate rosie because she's loud and mean and very foreful with her politics.

1115: at least there are tempos for sale that are still running. Not like my civic of the same year. I think a well-endowed woman I went to college with will believe my civic died at 91k -- hers gave her trouble from the get-go. I think those that have owned civics will know what i'm talking about.

I'd rather have a tempo or a dodge spirit or a fiero than an accord with an A on the front.
That's funny, the way you say
"accord OR tl"
as if they're two seperate cars.

You still believe you own a luxury car? hey Hondaura dealers, your pigeon is at LLN!

Not sure why the interior gets so many kudos...well I do know why, but don't understand. (It's because there is a little H on the steering wheel) Nonetheless, I don't a) find it attractive at all, especially that display in the top center-it just doesn't mesh. b) see that it's particularly ergonomic. That center stack is W-I-D-E and the controls on the right are canted AWAY from the driver...that's F-ed. c) the materials look REALLY cheap...look at all the gloss in the pictures. Lots of hard shiny vinyl and plastic there. d) the key is STILL in the steering column, that's so 70's it's not even funny. I can go on and on, just dont even get me started on the front overhang and ugly grille...

Pedro
What is it with you and Rosie? She must have turned you down for a date. You are mad BC you couldn’t turn her. Don’t get me wrong I think she is gross and don’t get me started on others like her. Rosies name has no place on a car thread
I think the 08 Accord resembles a Bavarian at some angles, some angles it looks like a TL. It’s all subjective anyhow
JJT you wont buy an Accord or TL BC you are busy buying Tempos
You really expect people to believe that your Civic didn’t make it past 91 k Huh You still telling that story?

The GM key fob is there because Honda didn't invite LLN to do jack shit, so GM had to do it for them. The point was to compare it against the Malibu.

As for the Accord, the whole thing is a mixed bag. The front end looks good, the rear looks stupid, and the strake on the side is pointless. Interior, I like the wheel, instrument cluster, and seats. Anyone who complains about GM's "cheap knobs" better have the same criticism for the honkin' knobs on that center stack. Terrible looking. And I swear I saw that same shifter in a 97 Accord.

Honestly, I like the Malibu much better.
