My folks have a 2007 4 cyl model. The cruise control activating (resume) would cause the engine to excel to teh max it seemed, rather disconcerting if you are in risky situations such as around bends or hills. We drove from Maine to Fla last Aug. Smooth car and nice all around, but I fear the CC will wear out the tranny or engine the way it works... Much different from my 90s Subaru with 171k mi.

"On the other side of the coin, the Camry's styling won't offend any potential buyers..."

I strongly disagree. That interior is hideous. All that silver makes it look extremely cheap. My wife and I were looking to buy either the Prius hybrid or the Camry and were strongly repulsed at the look of the Camry inside and out. I'm a butt guy and the rear end on the Camry really needs to be redesigned. What were they thinking. A Ford Edsel looks gorgeous next to this car.

Obhatti, if you've never met an Armenian in your life, then you're not really qualified to discuss issues of immigration in Canada.

I also never said that all immigrants are terrorists. And to think that the Toronto 18 is the only sleeper cell in existence in Canada is naive. Sleeper cells abound, that's why they're called "sleeper" cells. Because they blend in. If you could spot them, then you would be supercop and have medals pinned on you. Instead, you're on this board singing Kumbaya and championing the old Canadian live-in-harmony mentality from 1992. Good luck!

obhatti I had no intentions of offending you as an Armenian: being canadien is bad enough.
Ricardo, I've read recently that it is equally Arab custom to probe a fellow man on a long journey in desert. Actually in NYTimes there was article yesterday about French boys being fcuked by 3 Dubai gents. Any family accidents? Amorously inclined uncles bothered you?

I actually think this Camry is the best looking one yet. But I do think the interior looks cheese.

No, Fluffer, not every other ciuvic is indestructable, do you know any civic owners? I've known probably 10, and only one has said anything about her car to suggest it's anything near indestructable. She drove it for 17 years.

Cousin or twin brother?

If I'm on the side of the road in my enclave, I'll be offerin g assistance to the driver of a broke-down "TL."

And, like you, I make my money from the neck up. unlike yours, my job doesn't have a choking hazard.

Don't sweat it, Obhatti. Autonut is just mad at armaniacs because he gleefully lost his äss-virginity to one of those figfücking fresno indians who then dumped Autonut's french butt for a tight young illegal lad on the grape farm.

Rico Suave prefers women like Rosie and calls them attractive and diverse? Is that what they call lesbians now?
You are a janitor JJT there is nothing wrong with that but don’t act as if you have some White-collar job and that you can’t type ACURA
Is that Oldsmobile like your Daddy’s? No its not BC your daddy's Olds isn’t extinct .
I’m sure that your Civic lasted to 91k when every other Civic is damn near indestructible. I’m sure that you can sell a Ford Tempo instead of the car that has the highest resale value….well second to its cousin the TSX but you get the point.
Wait for your Enclave but when you are on the side of the road with it just remember I told you so. When GM cars prove the test of time then they MAY be worthy of consideration

Hey JJT, don't matter what 1115 thinks. His logic is screwed. He thinks you're a racist because you can laugh at a stereotype and he thinks I hate women because I prefer them attractive and diverse.

1115, everyone here knows you keep an 8x10 glossy of Rosie O'Donnell next to the bathroom sink in your parent's basement so just admit it already.

onbhatti, deantj: The Esks, like the Knicks, and Bruins, suck. I thought the pewter pirates would suck, because they can't keep a QB upright. But getting garcia (former Stampeder) was a smart move

Fluffer

I worked as a janitor after high school. Worked my way through college, and now I, like you, make my money from the neck up.
I drive an oldsmobile (for a minute, anyway, until the enclave I want comes in). I sold my tempo, which, unlike my civic, was in a condition in which someone would pay me money for it.

I once rode 10-deep in an Olds.
Yeah, as you pointed out, I can afford a datsun or a faux-luxury toyonda. Nissan/datsun doesn't make a car that's in the category I'm buying in (murano/fx only seats five, and I don't want a truck-besed SUV (Armada/QX 56) or a Minivan (Quest).
I'm not settling for a toyota or a honda, even if you spruce them up and add an "L," or "A," respectively.

to me a mazda 6 just fits in a different category..... its smaller, aimed at younger buyers, looks sportier..... im not sure i would cross-shop this camry against it or vice versa

Deanster, my experience growing up in this country has been radically different from yours.

Can you for certain say that every single person from those nationalities living here in Canada is a terrorist? Wouldn't there be more acts of terrorism here in Canada or down in the states if that were the case? I only can think of the suspected terrorists - the infamous Toronto 18 - that were arrested here last year as fitting your descripton. Some of them have already been found not guilty.

The welfare thing I cannot disagree with you on. I've seen it firsthand myself, and I think it's disgusting, especially as a taxpayer, but simply pinning it on immigrants won't help much in regards to solving the problem, even if that were wholly true.

I live in TO, and it seems fine to me. Not much of a powder keg here. I've only visited Montreal (and Quebec) once in my life for only a few days. Needless to say, it was after 9/11 and I did not receive a warm reception at all. But otherwise, I'm not qualified to comment on the state of affairs in MTL. There are other issues that might be at play there, too, however, such as the ongoing dispute over Quebec sovereignty. Most of the Quebecois, in general, dislike the rest of Canada, to say the least.

I've not seen a SuperSize option in any McDs I've ever been to here in Ontario. Maybe it does exist in some parts of the country, I've honestly never seen it.

I'm not trying to suggest Canada is superior to America in any way (except right now for the value of the dollar), so I don't know how best to respond to your other points about obesity, gun violence and healthcare. I'm not sure what point you were trying to make.

Do you live in Vancouver or MTL? Your experience is likely different from mine based on where you live?

JJT
You drive a Tempo so what do you know about a Rolls?
I had a feeling that you are a racist and reading these posts you proved it. You had proven that you are an idiot in previous posts so its all coincides
I’m sure in your company parking lot there are many luxury cars but you are not drivng them your bosses are. You are probably taking out the garbage in the parking lot that’s how you know. Janitors drive Tempos and Mazda 5’s. Dont be mad bc you can afford an Acura Lexus or Infiniti

'1115', a Buick is many rungs higher up my ladder of preference over this waste of production.

'obhatti', "comfort and safety" ... every car in this segment provides those two requirements ... you really believe the vast majority of these buyers can differentiate between a Mazda 6 and this, if they were blindfolded? Get real, it's reputation that sells here, nothing more.

I don't know why I bother discussing these same issues over and over again ... this is basic transportation for the masses, nothing more. And to argue where one has marginally better reliability but looks like ass compared to another is moot.

I live in Canada, Obhatti.

The Kumbaya mentality of Canadians from the 80's until around 2000 is quickly going extinct. Right about now, Canada has become a cesspool of terrorists, hundreds of thousands of Bangladeshis, Sri Lankans, Algerians, Moroccans, Afghanis, Iraqis, and Pakistanis all using multiple spellings of their last names to pull in 10 welfare cheques each, and generally a society of people split into factions that loathe each other.

At least that's what's happening in the big cities, ie. TO and MTL. Montreal is a powder keg, about to explode. I've never seen so much intolerance and hatred bottled up in my life. It makes the U.S. look like a Disney show.

BTW, we have SuperSize options at McD's, and we also the exact same obesity prevalence of around 28%, and we've also got a failing healthcare system that's about to end, and also we've got 7 million REGISTERED guns for 30 million people, and we've also got the planet's school-shooting capital - Montreal.

Should I go on, or do you want to keep making us look like ignorant idiots in front of all these Americans?

I know this is about an LE, but my neighbor owns a 2007 Camry CE, and wow what a piece of garbage. And people say GM's base models have no content. The CE doesn't even have power locks. And get this, the car only came with one key. Who the hell only offers one key with a car these days??

Not to mention the 15mph collision with a Ford Escort he got into. Paint scratches to the Escort, near structural collapse for the Camry. Took 2 months to repair.

R-head: what's a maplehumper?
That's the same attitude I have. I hate no man based on skin color, because each has produced his share of beautiful women.
'cept for the pineapples

what do you say to a P.R. in a 3-piece suit?

Ok, let me help with worldly knowledge. Fakistan was meant phonetically rhyme with "Fuckistan" : I am equal opportunity offender.
burkabitch - is female who will scare camel to death if she takes burka off; they habituate in North Africa, Middle East, and most of Asia. I think burkas were mandated by the Humane Society to protect camels.
Ricardo, don't listen to CBS is is the last bastion of communist propaganda. If you notice the name of the town in article is Bend, so obviously the population does not like hugs and they prefer to get it over.....
33 millions, means that 8 just jumped off the boat sorry plane. Just few short years ago it was 25 and they were not sexually active (frozen testicles) :) I reckon it is 8 million terroristson our northern border.
MCD is NYSE symbol for McDonald. My issue with immigrants that they do believe (just like you do) that US needs them. In truth, they need US much more. As a matter of fact it was American economy and society that created modern democracy (I know that her majesty subjects would disagree) and Canada was on the wrong side of history when America as United States was making history. Unfortunately world remembers US when disaster strikes THEM, when US saves their ass (over and over) there is rarely a "thank you" card.
As far as racism goes: I am an equal opportunity offender. I love racial/ethnic jokes.
I live in burbs on NYC, across the river :)
Skip the condom: Armenian scientists developed a new contraception pill for man - the clinical trials were total success not a single man got pregnant!

BTW - to be sure I think people have far too much of a chip on their shoulders regarding this stuff.

I work each and every day with frogs, krauts, limeys, asstralians, boos, beanahs, crackahs, rednecks, fatass gringos, biatchs, maplehumpers, gooks, nips, and yard-apes and have no problem with any of them.

All you gotta do is laugh and get along. Catering to the hyper-sensitive is what gets a kid detention for huggin a friend goodbye for the weekend.
