Although the holidays are typically filled with good cheer, they, unfortunately, also bring about an increase in drunk drivers. One such intoxicated driver made the poor decision of taking to the South Florida roads during the early morning hours of December 14, resulting in destruction of several brand new Corvettes.

The unnamed driver was driving down Biscayne Blvd. at about 3am on Wednesday, December 14 when he suddenly lost control of his vehicle. The drunk driver careened off the road and directly onto the lot of Tropical Chevrolet.

Thankfully the incident took place well outside of business hours — which prevented any harm to innocent bystanders — but the drunk driver managed to smash a row of brand new Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport models. At least three Corvettes were involved in the wreck, with two likely to be complete write-offs.

The driver didn’t sustain any serious injuries and was arrested by local law enforcement.

Unfortunately for Tropical Chevrolet, this isn’t the first such incident for the dealership. Back in 2007 a drunk driver, who happened to be piloting a Chevrolet Corvette, sped off the road at 125mph and hit a row of SUVs. All vehicles involved in that crash, including the driver’s Vette, were completely destroyed.
