All of the American automakers are falling grotesquely behind the Japanese in what the world really needs, energy efficient vehicles. It's the American automakers own shortsightedness for this. I am excited to see the comeback of the Camaro, but I am more excited to see what the Japanese hybrid market is going to bring in the future.

GM, Ford, and Dodge especially need to get on the ball and start research on fuel efficiency and not "how big and thirsty can we make our vehicles".

It doesn't matter what shit gets debuted at this thing. The only one that everybody is looking forward to is the latest and greatest offerings from the General. Nobody give a rats ass about anything else

Jeez, I throw a few ideas out there, to promote some creativity and most people take the opportunity to show how much smarter they are. If you don't have any good ideas to contribute and only wish to cut up my list, don't bother.

I agree with the Camaro comment, it will probably be a Detroit debut now that you mention it. The S2000 replacement is a good idea too. The Nissan/Infiniti GT-R is a definate possibility, after showing the concept at NAIAS last year. Gorgeous!

And the Mazda 3 is NOT a C30. The C30 is based off the platform, but in 3 door hatch flavour, similar to the Focus in Europe. Mazda only has one '2' door car in their line-up, the MX-5.

Audi- A2
Ford- Fairlane production version under it's new name, Boss Mustang. If it's all of FoMoCo look for new Jaguars, the production MKS, and maybe even an S80R
GM- Probaby a facelifted LaCrosse, another crossover SUV, and some sort of Hummer project. Don't expect the Camaro. It's definately a Detroit debut.
Honda- S2000 replecement that might even be a hybrid
Hyundai- Tiburon, large RWD sedan
Mazda- Mazdaspeed 3, CX-9. HThe CX-7 debuted here last year and the Mazdaspeed6 the year before that. This just makes sense.
Nissan Next Gen Z
VW Small SUV

Jeff, the TT V6 was already shown at NYIAS, and your request of Mazda's C30 has already been fulfilled - it's called the Mazda3.

Hopefully the R8 is not one of the cars, I want to see that thing at Paris, in September. Has it been officially confirmed for Paris?

GM can be debuting cars off of it's Holden Zeta platform like the Caddilac DTS , Buick Lucerne and, Chevy Impala.

That is just a guess though.

I can't wait to go to the Detroit Show again. I spent over 9 hours without taking a break at that show earlier this year.

Honda has stated that they are not making a Fit hybrid but a whole new subcompact hybrid instead. They also changed their minds about a hybrid CRV, stating a diesel engine would be a better choice.

Jeff, I'm pretty sure the MSP3 and CX-9 have already been debuted elsewhere. Additionally, the new Nissan Maxima, Altima, and Sentra have already been debuted and are to go on sale shortly. Nissan would be debuting an entirely new vehicle...possibly the SE-R?

Yes, world debuts from General Motors. They are going to dominate the Auto show cucuit this year and every year after.

I'm curious as to why the others mentioned are going to debut their crap at all? The American Revolution that is GM is on its way to wiping all that import garbage from the country so it seems like a waste of time, no?
