Volkswagen ’s Eos convertible won’t be delayed as long as expected, according to a report by Automotive News. VW told dealers at a meeting that the car could arrive in showrooms this summer. Late last year Leftlane reported that VW might have to delay the hardtop-convertible by several months. The Eos was originally expected in showrooms this spring. This month, Automobilwoche said the Eos had been delayed due to concerns over quality. Volkswagen’s Wolfgang Bernhard said his company is emphasizing quality in an effort to build a reputation like that of Toyota . Today’s report by Auto News also suggests VW is seriously considering production of the Volkswagen GX3 Concept — a car-motorcycle crossover. “Dealers only want to know how fast and many GX3s we can get,” said dealer council chairman Bob Grace.
