Eriksson pleads not guilty to Enzo crash charges

05/31/2006, 12:35 PM

By admin

Stefan Eriksson — the former video game company executive who destroyed his Ferrari Enzo in February — has plead not guilty to charges of embezzlement, grand theft auto and DUI. Authorities say Eriksson has an blood-alcohol level of .093 at the time of the crash, which took place while he was traveling over at nearly 200 mph. Eriksson is suspected of “stealing” two Ferrari Enzos and one Mercedes SLR from Europe by not paying money owed on them to financial firms there. Recently, Eriksson admitted to being the driver of the car after previously denying he was behind the wheel.

sjd, it’s pretty obvious he wasn’t doing 60 at the time of the accident. And that he was driving the car. And that he lied to the police about the 3rd person in the car. What can I say, money buys everything these days.

While they cannot prove he was driving (since no one saw him driving, hence the “Russian running into the hills” tale), it is already a fact that he has not paid the financial companies for the cars. DUI charge will be hard, but the “grand theft auto” charge will be easy.

Buh-bye
