Wow. More heavyweight FWD sporty cars from the company that was beginning to get it right with the 300C/Charger/Magnum.

Very sad and completely not worth the money if you want a "muscle" car.

I think it looks nice. It has the bold Dodge look, but isn't a copy of the Charger in my eyes. The headlights on this pulls back into the hood. A Charger's headlights slope down into the grill. The rear isn't bad, but you can see a lot of Stratus flavor back there.

I would love it if French cars came over here. I could open up a towing company and make a fortune. The reliability of French cars is appalling. The workers spend more time striking than actually assembling the vehicle. Alfa Romeo is more than welcome however.

Too many people are jumping to conclusions with this car. All we have are five photos, which were leaked just yesterday. No one here has seen the interior or, more importanly, driven the vehicle. Thus, no one has the right to dismiss it as a piece of shit. In time, perhaps, but until then, let's be fair.

Chrysler does not care about euro sales; Mercedes has this stupid idea of trying to pan off cars in markets that don't want them, like they're doing with SMART over here on the good side of the Atlantic. It’s is indisputable that euro luxury and exotic cars are second to none, but you people can keep your peugeots, renaults, citiroens, skodas, seats, and fiats.

Said it b4. Gonna say it once more. This is where the Caliber fenders should be; with some hotter looking headlights (both the Caliber and this thing headlights sucks' looks wise). With the same cut at the beginning of the a-pillars on the Caliber on this. Can anyone here, or does anyone here know someone, who can photoshop a Caliber's front end on the 2nd photo in this blog? Put some better looking headlights (even the Charger's lights would do), keep the bumper, and then post a link to it here.

May God protect this man's job.

I love it, and think it will be another chrysler group hit.

production starts in december.

oh, Sebring production started 8-30-06.

Has a corporate look to it that is instantly recognizable. It works, call it "Charger-lite". Can't be nearly as bad as other cars in this class i.e. Malibu or Pontiac G6 but if history is any indication, it won't take much of a bite out of your typical Camcord market.

Looks really sweet, but kinda seems small from photos. This is definitely the best looking midsize to come since the Fusion.

Well the Charger was a two door at one time too...no luck on that one either...I say bring back the cloud cars. I'm happy with mine.

^ As another original Avenger owner I am going to complain about the number of doors. I like the look but it would be so much smoother with just two doors.

It is better than Sebring and Caliber, but thats about all you can say. The rear window line clashes with the kink in the door. Front end much better resolved than Caliber. Hmmm me thinks my money gets spent elsewhere. looking forward to 1952 MG TDs defense of it.

I, as a current generation Dodge Avenger owner, must say that I'm very disappointed. What happened? I expected a seriously looking car, but this is just retarded. At the very least they could have been more creative and left out the Dodge Charger C-Pillar. I won't complain about the number of doors, because I'm sure a coupe will follow shortly.

And is it just me, or does is seem like Dodge has been throwing their cross-hair grille on as an after thought on their new vehicles. If you're gonna put it on, atleast design it into the vehicle so it looks like it belongs there.

I expected more from DCX. The Sebring was so-so, but that is Chrysler and aimed at moms. The Avenger needed to be similar in character to the Challenger- a striking car that glued your eyes to it. This is not it. And if you add to the mix that the next Mitsubishi Lancer- same car platform- will be extraordinary, I think DCX wasted their money on this one.

Better than the Sebring sister car but the C pillar with the rear fender bulge just doesn't cut it. DCX designers should know a terms like "design overkill" and "trying too hard to be retro" which obviously doesn't work here. Maybe if this car is a hatch, maybe it will work. Looks like the best front drive compact affordable family car will be the Saturn Aura.
