Hyundai is displaying a custom-built, one-of-a-kind Veloster hot rod at the Detroit Auto Show. Styled like a life-sized Hot Wheels car, it's merely a concept and not a preview of an upcoming production model. Don't expect to see the "hot rod package" on the list of options when the new Veloster goes on sale.

Ford announces next Shelby GT500
Ford confirmed what we all suspected: the next-generation Mustang Shelby GT500 is coming soon, and it will pack a serious punch. Speaking on the sidelines of the Detroit Auto Show, the Blue Oval confirmed the hottest Mustang yet will pack over 700 horsepower to send chills down the Hellcat's spine. Look for the model to make its debut before the end of the year.

The next-generation Volkswagen Jetta made its debut at the Detroit Auto Show. It's built on Volkswagen's MQB platform, and it remains available with a manual transmission. It receives an array of tech features including a digital instrument cluster, which is found on the list of options.
