Ferrari's latest V12-engined flagship, the F12berlinetta will make its North American debut this Sunday at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The car will make history as the most powerful road car from the Italian supercar maker.

The car will also mark another first, this time in the car building industry as a whole, with the use of new metal alloys in its construction. There are 12 different ones used in the spaceframe chassis and bodyshell.

These, along with new assembly and joining techniques, resulted in a structural rigidity that's 20 percent stiffer and 154lbs lighter overall than the previous V12 coupe, the 599 GTB Fiorano. The F12 also carries 54 percent of its mass over the rear wheels.

The 6.3-liter engine makes 730-horsepower and revs to a maximum engine speed of 8,700RPM. There is also 509lb-ft of torque, 80 percent of which comes on at just 2,500RPM.

Buyers will get their hands on their own F12berlinettas during the first quarter of 2013.
