There is good reason why Magnetic Selective Ride isn’t offered in the General’s higher end performance cars:

The magnetic selective ride suspension offered in the Vette is the middleground suspension in terms of performance/comfort. It’s a great suspension for daily and even spirited driving, but the Z51 suspension offered in the C6, and stock suspension offered in the Z06 would eat a magneride equpped car alive in the twisties. Though it may be more technologically advanced, it’s not necessarily the fastest way around a corner.

As baffling as this is, I can’t wait to see how Jeremy Clarkson digs himself out of his hole when he reviews this car – especially after the similarly-suspended Corvette and the CTS were absolutely hammered by Top Gear about their suspension systems.

So GM has the technology to implement this dynamic suspension control into its high performance lineup but doesn’t? What’s going on here? Performance vehicles deserve these types of details which would only improve the driving experience.
