NEW FUTURE MARKET
  • Ferrari launches 24-month pre-owned warranty

    By Drew Johnson

Ferrari vehicles are known the world over for their outrageous performance and stunning good looks, but are also saddled with a reputation of questionable reliability. However, Ferrari has officially addressed that issue, launching a new 24-month Power Warranty on the company’s certified pre-owned vehicles.
Available through the Official Ferrari Dealer network, the 24-month Power Warranty can be had on virtually any certified pre-owned Ferrari vehicle up to eight years old. In addition to the warranty, the program also offers buyers a 190-point technical inspection, Ferrari Roadside Assistance and a free subscription to the Ferrari Magazine.

Per the terms of the program, owners must properly maintain their Ferrari at an official dealer or authorized service center, and must also complete an annual inspection within 30-days of the first 12-month coverage period.

The 24-month Power Warranty covers most of Ferrari’s V8 and V12-powered models, including vehicles like the F430 Scuderia, Challenge Stradale and Superamerica.

Wow… Service is $1000 and the inspection is $2000, so really you don’t get it for free now do you?

Plus the Testarossa isn’t included so there goes my hopes of a Ferrari warranty on buying a used Ferrari.

What they haven’t said is that when you take your Ferrari into the shop for warranty work they give you a recalled Toyota for a loaner.

Well, the free subscription to the magazine certainly makes it all worthwhile.

Is Ferrari reliability really that questionable? I was under the impression that their reliability was fairly good, assuming you adhered to Ferrari’s stringent rules in regards to vehicle maintenance. Yeah, servicing a Ferrari is expensive, but it’s a Ferrari. Why would you spend that much money on a car and not spend the money to upkeep it?

@rarson, those are not cars in everyday sense of the word. Wife has to be reliable, mistress can afford not to. Ferrari is a mistress with great legs and horrible temperament.
