Ferrari is rumored to be reviving one of its most famous nameplates ever — Testarossa — for the car that will replace the 575 Maranello, according to Inside Line. The name was used between 1984 and 1996 for the legendary flat-12-cylinder coupe. The new car, known by its “Imola” codename, will likely be called the F600 Testarossa. It features a 6.0-liter V12 that could produce 600hp. As with other recent Ferrari models, an F1-style clutchless manual will allow the driver to shift gears with both hands on the steering wheel. The F600 is derived from a shortened version of the 612 Scaglietti chassis and features similar styling. Spy photos of the test car first surfaced in Modena in November 2004.
