In the latest installment of on-again off-again Ferrari Dino rumors, Automotive News is again reporting that Ferrari is developing a lower-priced V8 coupe. According to the report, the car will seat four, feature a folding hardtop roof, and arrive in Europe in 2008, and the United States in 2009. The report follows a statement by Ferrari CEO Luca Cordero di Montezemolo to Italy’s Quattroruote magazine in April denying Ferrari had plans for a new entry-level model. Back in February, Ferrari Deputy Managing Director Amedo Felisa admitted Ferrari had considered building such a car, but the idea was shelved. Automotive News also says Ferrari is working on a new front-engined four seated with a V8 engine. Similar rumors were reported by Italy’s Il Sole 24 Ore in April.
