The much-anticipated Ferrari P 4/5 by Pininfarina has finally been unveiled. The car was created for collector James Glickenhaus, and is valued at over $3 million. It was inspired by the P4 racer of the 1960s. Essentially, the P4/5 is a rebodied Ferrari Enzo, with a Pininfarina-designed exterior. More details are expected when the car makes its world debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on August 20th. See the images after the jump…

Really nice car. Good 60’s feeling as it was meant. The only things that I don’t like on it are the wheels that doesn’t fit with the style of the car and the “smarties” brakelights.

IT’S UGLY! It’s design has no thrill at all and styling is archaic…
Projects like this were rejected by Giugiaro back in ‘70ties. And yes, it’s side profile is a Murcielago’s limpy imitation.

I hope it rides better than it looks.

I also agree with # 11. doesnt matter if any of us like it or not, the fact that the dude has a ferrari just for him is impressive. I also didnt like the Zagato ferrari made for the japanese collector but its wild to have your very own ferrari

custom made and what not it doesn’t change the fact that it’s ugly. If a mass produced Cadillac looks better to the eye of the beholder then so be it. Drop it people, it’s a matter of taste. Unless you’re a Ferrari exec you shouldn’t be so defensive…

You can criticize it all you want. It is hideous. I’m sure it is an amazing ride, but it looks like a bad 70s concept car.

Why can’t you criticize design? Who cares the purpose. That is like saying a piece of art is magnificent because the artist painted with his toes.

Grow up.

For everyone saying, “Your opinion doesn’t matter because it’s not made for you” can stop giving input. No **** and thanks for stating the obvious. Everyone can express their opinions whether they can afford this car or not. I personally don’t like it too much. I think the fake concept image that was released when this thing was announced looks better. Have a nice day.

anyone who is calling this ugly needs to understand this man had it custom made with design similarities to a p4 racer from the 60’s. YES OF COURSE IT LOOKS OUTDATED, ITS SUPPOSED TO! besides you cannot call any car ugly for whether a car looks nice is in the eye of the beholder and to this owner of this 3 mil ferrari that none of you posting will ever own or come close to owning, its probably the most beautiful car in the world.

well, there are a few other people out there who actually know what they are talking about when it comes to cars, and i know they read this blog, because we talk about it all the time. But its the morons, who probably didnt even take the 12.4123 seconds to google a picture of the original P4 to see that this concept is a tribute to that amazing race car… its just for fun, to satisfy a millionares fantasy, stuff me and you could only dream about doing, why rip on it either way? isn’t just the idea that this guy has a one of a kind ferrari based on an enzo cool enough? the car isnt trying to be anything else other than a modern P4, it’s not trying to be a lambo as some morons claimed earlier, or anything else for that matter. if you dont think the original P4 was sexy then you’re not gonna be in love with this either. MonkeyMan, there is no chance of you asking anything above my head….

This car is a true piece of art. It’s unique and original, the same way as a Picasso painting. It’s not because you can’t affort one that you can’t say what you think about it. Maybe you don’t like it or you don’t see why it has a old style but the owner of this car is certainly loving it more than anything else. We’re here to discuss about cars and our opinion but no one should insult anyone else just because he doesn’t think the same way as you do.

BTW, I really like this car and what it represent but I think that the brakelights are too bright and doesn’t fit well with everything else on this car.

you’ll never own a 3 million dollar one of a kind pinanfarina? ok? get over your fantasies, u might have a cool corvette someday, but the odds are against you.

#58, notice in these photos that you cant see through the glass, or there are no head lights? these photos are actually quite old, i saw them over 4 months ago, and they were old then. this is the car viewed in development phase, thats why it’s in the viewing courtyard on the pinanfarina roof, so they can assess it and make changes, thats how design works. So those taillights are just red pieces of plastic mounted on the rear mesh to probably help them develople the scale and location of the final ones.

The flat front end looks like it was inspired by the Ferrari 333SP racers not the classic 60’s racecar. The silver trim inside the air intakes looks out of place. The all glass roof is nice, I hope it has the Revocromico feature because it will be awfully hot in there. Yup, I agree, the Maserati Birdcage still looks the best among the “Enzo” midengine platformates.
