I agree with you Andre, and it won’t be the first time I’ve said on this forum that Ferrari have lost the design plot recently.
I would say that the last beautiful Ferrari was the 355 but that was already the start of the downturn, not being nearly as trouser-tent-inducing as the 288GTO.
This 430 is awkward from the rear three-quarter and just plain ugly head-on. From that angle it looks like the overly-plain efforts of an under-funded British kit car producer. Aggressive pointy headlights can’t hide the generally droopy, bathtub-rounded shape of the nose moulding, and the thing is too damn fat.

I personally think the testarossa was the ugliest ferrari, granted I guess it comes with the time period. I’m not diggin the shark-like front intakes now, that lip is a little over-done. I think out of the newer ferrari’s, the 599, Enzo, and f-430 are the best looking. The 612 should’ve been remodeled already. And the California, well, a dumb name for a car I would never buy
Back to subject, this is stilla pretty fierce looking car, and the 430 always looks better with it’s top off

I thought the F430 was much better looking than the 360 when it first came out. I especially liked the larger air ducts on the rear haunches and the more purposeful looking back end. I never much cared for the front end however, and upon seeing a number of both models here in Toronto I now realize the 360 is a much sexier, coherent design. The F430 is just too exaggerated. When Lamborghini ‘exaggerated’ the Murciélago & Gallardo into the LP640 & LP560-4 they did it right. Improving already gorgeous designs into “WOW”. The F430 looks like a 360 that’s received a Japanese makeover.

I absolutely hate the 612 and California designs. Extremely ugly. I really like the 599 tho. The F430 has grown on me a lot since it was introduced. I was never really a fan of the 360 until the Challenge version came out.

This F430 Scuderia Spider 16M is one hot car tho. Give me that in yellow with the dark rims please!

The F430 Spider’s replacement is supposedly getting a retractable hardtop.

The 360 wasn’t that good looking either. Imo recent Ferraris (612, 599, 430, 360, California) have not been as beautiful as those before it, but at least Ferrari is not sleeping on its designs like Porsche is.

Isn’t this supposed to have a retractable hardtop?

I’m sorry but the more I see the F430, the more I dislike it and the more I wish the F360 was still around. Hell, I’ll take a F355 Berlinetta or Spyder over this. IMO the F355 was one of the last in a great(F40,Testarossa,F50,288GTO,etc) era of Pininfarina designs. After that(except for F360Modena), it got weird(456,550,575,599,612,F60Enzo).
This F430 in the 2nd picture looks like a door wedge.
I know I’m going to get bashed by a bunch of 16yr olds on here, but that’s just my opinion.
