Ferrari shows FXX to the press

The Bologna Motor Show provided the venue for Ferrari’s world unveiling of the FXX, according to gizmag (as briefly noted yesterday). The car — which was first announced this spring — is aimed at a selected group of the marque’s most dedicated and passionate clients. The FXX costs roughly $1.8 million, weighs just 2,500 pounds, and develops over 800 horsepower. The FXX’s aerodynamic design is also particularly innovative – with a 40% increase in downforce compared to the already impressive Enzo. For its massive price, the FXX includes participation in a series of 14 track events organized by Ferrari on various international-level circuits over the coming two years in Europe, North America and Japan. (Shown right is Michael Schumacher with the FXX).

Oh man, I hope Top Gear or Fifth Gear get their hands on this car. I’d love to see them rip this thing to shreds on the asphault. :-D
