Ferrari may be planning its third and least expensive front-engine model, according to a report by Italy’s Il Sole 24 Ore financial newspaper. Like the 612 Scaglietti, the new model would have four seats, according to the report. It would also likely be smaller than or equal to the new Ferrari 599 Fiorano, a car built on a similar architecture to the larger 612. Unlike the 599 or 612, this car would have a V8. The report comes after a recent statement by Ferrari’s Amedo Felisa saying the company had scrapped plans for a new “Dinoâ€? coupe as a part of the so-called “Project California.” AutoTelegraaf magazine said the $175,000 Ferrari F430 would remain the company’s base model for the foreseeable future. The Leftlane Perspective: All we can say is: Ferrari, make up your mind! We’d love to see a 2+2 in the same price range as the F430, or less.
