AxeHead who gives a flying f*ck about Hockey, it's not like being bad at hockey makes your country suck, get a grip. Have you ever even been to Italy? On another note Swerve I totally agree this is just some marketing bs to throw a name that everyone already knows out there. Just sit in the pretty red canoe and pretend it can go 0-60 in 3 seconds and has bucket seats wrapped in alcantra.

Mamamia ... OK they're good at soccer but who really give a crap. Italians are the absolute shits at hockey. I think when the Canadians or Americans play against them it's like 10 to 1 score or even worse. My point - what the hell does Farrari have to do with sports. Stupid lln.

AxeHead, let me enlighten you: Italians have the best soccer team (no they don't have World Series or Super Ball but 2-4 billion people watch World Cup every 4 years). Italy has very good bicycle, downhill skiing and basketball teams. For a country of their size they do very well.
Army - not so good.

FLR - lighten up. Who really gives a crap about Ferrari engines propelling luges for the Italians anyways. They're all drunk on wine and are crappy atheletes anyways - Ferrari intervention isn't going to make any difference.

I think Ferrari should help Italian army: the latest Italian tank has 6 speeds and 5 of them were reverse. The forward one has rev limiter.

I wonder how much input Ferrari will actually have into the development of these things. At first glance, it seems different that Ferrari's near ubiquitous branding efforts--developing stuff is different than letting Acer stick a Ferrari logo on a laptop it already made.

I also wonder how much expertise Ferrari really has in these materials. Pagani bakes their own carbon fiber for the Zondas, but Ferrari may outsource a lot of their materials work. The only thing specifically mentioned is wind tunnel use. What else can Ferrari offer?

^^^ Yeah, I don't think this makes much sense, from either end.

For Ferrari, they have to develop an expertise that matches the world class, top of the line manufacturers for these products that already exist. This is costly and highly troublesome if even possible in this amount of time.

For the Italians, why risk getting an inferior product?

The only bonus is kinda like marketing for Ferrari, but I think that only works if they actually plan to sell such products in the future. Seeing a Ferrari luge is not going to make anyone want to buy an F430...
