What's more Italian than a quirky Fiat? How about a quirky Fiat with a built-in espresso maker?

The Italian automaker has announced that its new 500L crossover will be available with a "Coffee Experience" kit that will include a Lavazza-supplied mini espresso maker.

Looking something like an extra-tall insulated travel mug, the Espresso Experience espresso maker slots into the 500L's rear-most center console cupholder and, just like a personal barista, it boils water to infuse the coffee grounds. Within a short period of time, fresh espresso is ready to be consumed via a set of Fiat-branded coffee cups. The kit also includes integrated spoon and sugar holders.

Fiat hasn't said whether the North American version of the 500L will offer the espresso maker as an option, but the Italian automaker has confirmed the availability of the kit for its home market.

The 500L slots in above the two-door 500 in Fiat's lineup, where it will square off against vehicles like the the MINI Countryman and Mazda CX-5.
