The 500 has proven to be a huge sales success for Fiat, and it looks as though the small city car will only be getting better with age. The Italian automaker announced on Monday that it will soon begin producing a convertible version of the 500.
Unlike the current trend in the market place, the Fiat 500 convertible will use a conventional soft top. However, this setup shouldn’t hurt the 500 convertible as its main competitors – such as the MINI convertible – also use a soft top.
Fiat announced earlier this year that it will sell the 500 in the U.S. market, but it remains unclear if the drop top variation will make it to our shores.

really cool car, built at the same plant in Poland as the new Ford Ka, so maybe the Ford will make it to the US too. Xan’t wait to see it on the streets here.
