Alfa Romeo

First Alfa Romeo 8Cs delivered in U.S.

The first examples of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione sports car to be legally registered in the United States were recently delivered during a small - and rather exclusive -ceremony at Miller Motorcars in Greenwich, Connecticut. Alfa Romeo project manager Renzo Barbirato was on hand to deliver the first Alfa Romeo sold in the United States since 1995 to collector Jim Glickenhaus.

Yesterday’s first 8C delivery marks the end of an Alfa-less era in the U.S. and, many enthusiasts hope, it means the opening of the gates for less expensive Alfa Romeos to begin arriving in the U.S. and Canada.

Glickenhaus custom-ordered his 8C to be swathed in the same red paint his custom-bodied-by-Pininfarina Ferrari P4/5, according to Veloce Today. Two other 8Cs were delivered were delivered yesterday in Greenwich, as well, and it’s expected that the remaining 77 8Cs said to be allocated for the U.S. will be delivered shortly.

so he is the lucky one getting it first, if anyone should get it first it should be him, he drives his P4/5 all the time so at least this 8C will be in motion unlike most other collectors

Such a pretty car, I wouldn’t really care what can outperform it since it looks so good you could probably tell people your car outclasses theirs.

btw yarddog making posts in all caps is usually what gets people banned on forums not to mention it gives people the impression your yelling. Just close that 7/16th of an inch gap with your pinky and push the damn caps lock key

I’ve seen kids on the short bus that have a more intelligent mug than the front end of this thing.

It pisses me off to no end that I may see one or two in my lifetime if I am lucky, FU Jim and your P 4/5.
So I am trying to get political backing to get my city to buy one as art to put in the middle of my nearest round-about instead of a bronze statue of a bear or something lame.
