The next gen ForTwo is currently being tested and when this car is released I would imagine DaimlerChrysler will enter the US market officially and then Smarts will be readily available as in Canada and Europe. I drive a Smart in Canada (diesel) and I like the car, gets lots of attention and is very practicle and great on fuel. I am not sure how much Zap charges but I am not sure getting a car from them will be the same experience but always nice to see someone trying to bridge the gap!!
