Fisker Latigo makes music video appearance

05/24/2006, 9:31 AM

By admin

The ultra-rare Fisker Latigo made a surprise appearance in a music video for “Torn,” by R&B singer LeToya Luckett (a member of “Destiny’s Child” until 2000). The Latigo is a BMW 6-Series that has been rebodied by Fisker Coachbuild — a company founded by Henrik Fisker, who designed the BMW Z8 and the Aston Martin DB9. Fisker’s current lineup includes the Latigo and a rebodied Mercedes SL called the Tramonto. The cars first debuted in late 2005, with only 150 units slated to be built of each. The Leftlane Perpsective: It’s great to see an independent brand like Fisker get the mainstream spotlight. See images from the music video after the jump…

For anyone who is curious: this is how you take an already ugly car and make it uglier.

dude! duuuude that **** is ugly IMO. It’s like trying to be an Aston Martin but it doesn’t look like one. It looks like a BMW trying to be an Aston Martin.

ooh dear, this is bad mainly because its too boring! you dont spend that kind of change to have a car which has a rear side that looks like a TSX’s rear side. utter failure, i saw them up close at the LA auto show but the cars were darker colored so it was hard to see the lines, plus you werent allowed to see the back end…

Fiskers look like tuner cars. There is just not enough different about them to regard them as more than expensive body kits.

Incredible bamf. So what’s your point? Isn’t a designer supposed to innovate and not imitate? If I want a BMW look I buy a BMW and if I want an Aston Martin look I buy an Aston Martin. If I don’t have the money I buy a kit car. If I have the money, I sure as heck want something with its own personality and not some wannabe lookalike. Sounds like the designer is in a creative rut, in need of some new inspiration. YOU sound stupidly intelligent. Your logical spouting scares me. I don’t even want to know what you consider good design, I can imagine it. And it smells bad…

I like it -it’s just soooo expensive(150k+!). To me, it looks like a modernized version of the classic 8-series, especially from that side view….

i think its ok it just shows too much bmw and aston martin and doesnt mix well. I think they should have been more original with the styling. The back of the car is too boring and doesnt match with the middle of the car. The front isnt too bad and actually quite nice from some angles. I dunno it seems they are trying too hard. good try though.

BAMF: I agree with you on that but I guess this car isnt really for me. Some cars I think are nice and have good styling are:
Bmw 3,5,6 and 7 Series, Z4 coupe and roadster and every M car. (bmw is my favourite road car)
Aston Martin DB9, AMV8
Ferrari 360, F430, 575, and possibly the 599 GTB
Jaguar XK
Koenigsegg CCX
Audi RS4, S6 and S8 and new TT
Chevrolet Corvette Z06a and maybe the camaro in production form
Dodge Viper and Challenger(new one :D )
Chrysler 300C
Nissan 350z, Skyline, GTR concept(latest concept)
Honda Integra type R, S2000
Mazda Rx8
Lamborghini Gallardo and Murcielago
Lexus IS and LS (new ones)
Maserati Coupe
Mercedes E55 AMG, CLK 63 AMG, SL65 AMG, CLS 63AMG
Mitsubishi Evo IX
Pagani Zonda
Vauxhall Astra VXR, Monaro VXR
Porsche 911 turbo, GT3, Cayman
Saleen S7
TVR Sagaris
Volkswagen MK4 Golf R32, Eos

what about u? what are your favorites?
