Fisker may be involved in a legal battle with Tesla Motors, but the hybrid car builder is moving forward with its Karma sedan plans. Fisker Automotive announced on Thursday that it has signed Nellemann Holding AS to distribute the Karma overseas.
Nellemann Holding AS will be responsible for Fisker distribution in Denmark, Sweden and Norway, according to Automotive News.
“We are extremely pleased to bring Nellemann on board as our latest international distributor,” Vic Doolan, Fisker’s director of retail development, said in a statement.
Fisker Italia was setup as the company’s first overseas distributor earlier this year.
Fisker has already received 800 overseas orders for the Karma but says it expects to eventually sell half of all Karmas in markets outside the U.S. The California-based automaker plans to build 15,000 vehicles annually.
In addition to overseas dealers, Fisker claims that 44 U.S. retailers have expressed interest in selling the Karma plug-in hybrid. The Karma is slated to begin production in the fourth quarter of 2009.
