And ya I know the car is far from being “truly all American” But look at what they are doing, Even if they turn out to be lemon’s, they are trying to take on every one. The elegance in craftsmanship alone is up there with the Super Exotics of the World, and their concept of modern green automotive technology makes the Toyota Prius look like something out of the Stone Age.

They are playing fallow the leader, and they are setting the pace for the entire industry. Ya they get this from them, and that form someone els, but a Lexus is a Toyota, and a Cadillac is a Chevy, so what’s the difference. They are at least putting every one on check, to the High-Line name brands to the World’s Monopoly of Auto Giants in Luxury and Technology, and they are doing it as a independent car maker.

It’s worth noting the following:

1) Fiskers are based on BMW architecture and use GM engines
2) Fisker has yet to build ANY cars. Much less cars in any real volume.
3) Fisker’s vehicles will be manufactured in FINLAND.

Shall we list the number of cottage-industry high-end sports vehicle manufacturers that have made it to concept – and even limited production – levels, but have failed to make it more than 5 years on any market? Fisker is proof of nothing so far.

Any way’s….. Frisker has prove to the world, that a Independent American Manufacture can built Luxury Vehicles that can stand next to a Aston Martin, and a Maserati, and can also be a leader “Green Car Segment”… Better yet in the “Luxury Green Car Segment”

Where have you been? The Volt’s release date was announced ages ago: November 2010.

And once Fisker can actually build and sell a car – not to mention mass-produce them at prices for the mass population – and do so profitably, then the comparisons with the Detroit 3 will be valid.

Until then, sit down and shut up. Fiskers are basically rebodied BMWs anyway. So they’re not even doing most of their own damn work.

I mean seriously… how hard is it to take an electric golf-cart and put a small gasoline generator in the trunk to charge the batteries as it goes down the road. It’s going to be really funny when some other car company beats GM to the market with what is essentially their own concept.

I support domestic auto manufacturing… I own two Chevrolets. Mustang is arguably the most popular car ever made, and GM has gotten out some really innovative designs in the past 4 years. The fact that Corvette is still the best bang-for-the-buck sports car on the market speaks volumes about what they are capable of. I simply believe that Ford and GM are both plagued by high legacy costs, top-heavy management and a reliance on 5-10 year old design and technology in many of their mainline vehicles. They sunk millions into large truck and SUV development while letting their car designs stagnate, and we all know they saw the high gas prices coming. I traded my 15MPG truck in for a 25MPG car back in 2005, right as Katrina slammed the gulf… I now fill up with gas once every two weeks… and I’ve never looked back.

And Fisker is doing what Chevy thus far HAS done. Maybe you overlooked the fact that neither the Volt or Karma are in production. Once again, the blind bashing the Big Three.

This is why the Detroit 2.5 are failing.
